Sure Sadie's Dad will veto anything he isn't happy with, but then Mark will hopefully make the dance age appropriate.
Hopefully he won't seemingly get excited like he did after a dance with Shawn Johnson

I apologise. I didn't mean you genuinely didn't like the dance, I was just wondering if you were willing to say so when you did. I didn't mean to cause offence That is just how it came across. I think you are being harsh on her, she seems like a nice girl and she has said nothing is going on with her and Val. I do think it's unfair on her boyfriend for people to try and suggest there is something there.
BIB ....seee Im not even going to get into that ; I really dont think that Im too harsh with her

If she performed well I would have said so; Just like I noticed how IMO Antonio was better this week even though he is not my favorite. But as far as attitude goes, she is certainly not my favorite in that regard and I am not the only one who thinks the same; A LOT of people do especially after last night.

This is just like people disliking Sadie because of her family ; It is what it is.
Or people not wanting to give Alfonso a chance because they consider him a ringer..... We are not all going to like the same people.

However, If someone dances well, I will give them their props regardless of the fact that I like them or not

That was during their Jitterbug not the rumba.
Oh and he did a lot of growing up since then IMO. I dont really like a lot of rumbas on Dwts tbh because Imo they are not always done well but IMO Mark, Val , Karina and Cheryl are the ONLY pros who constantly do well with it .

The rumba has to be my least favorite dance of Derek. His rumba at the finale with Nicole is the only rumba that I ever liked from him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ravvjv3MFwE

It still wasn't technically really good because her hips movements were lacking and he compensated by giving a lot of lines and showing her flexibility but then again from all his celebrities, thats the only rumba I liked from him.

I will never forgive Carrie Ann for calling out that lift !!! It wasnt a lift ; the music stopped Im still fuming over it

Fair enough I agree with you completely. Sorry again, I hope I didn't cause offence!

I feel bad for Sadie, lots of people have decided they won't like her because of her family. That has nothing to do with her dancing at all! Besides, it doesn't mean she agrees with their views either.

Yep, the lindyhop was amusing Slightly awkward too though.

The Rumba is a dance I do like but rarely have I enjoyed any on SCD or DWTS. It is a tough dance to get right. I remember seeing Julianne and Derek doing s rumba together, which was a bit awkward for obvious reasons

Don't know anymore, which ones were you thinking of hun? DS may put the blocks on it, they used to - think the Blue Room wasn't allowed even a mention on here, this will probably be deleted as we speak.

Dwts gossip forums (TWOP that closed last year and each of their old forums on the dwts boards ) ...Thats what I read;
I also know that it was briefly mentioned on the show when they were new pros on Dwts ; when Julianne and Mark performed this pro dance with Kelly Minogue as the guest singer;
Ive also read it in the past on Purederekhough......

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRRf-Y-XVd4

Oh and Cheryl and Antonio also have the Salsa .
From an interview Shirley Ballas gave years ago, which unfortunately is no longer on the internet that I can find, it was very short-lived. The only 'nasty' breakup I heard rumored was with Shawn Johnson, but I don't know if even that is true. Someone could spend full time debunking false rumors; A celebrity reporter recently wrote an article claiming Julianne is living with Mark AND Derek, despite the fact both Mark and Derek bought separate residences in different neighborhoods YEARS ago and neither lived in the house they renovated with the help of HGTV and are flipping.

Mark's condo has been featured in People magazine and HGTV.

I know; I saw that when it aired

They are now looking into selling it ; It was one of the top news story at TMZ a few days ago.

Oh and Im not sure if Shawn and Mark actually dated but tbh I wouldnt be surprised and I have heard those nasty break up rumours too; Im more inclined to believe that after I saw them on the All-stars ....I felt sorry for the poor guy..she was so cold/distant with him ....you wouldnt even have thought that they got along (supposedly dated ) prior to that and won together; It was just so awkward to watch them together in the trio and when he replaced Derek for a week when he was injured.
Im so glad that she didnt win with Derek

Remember this exchange from Season 8? They didn't sound like they were getting along so well even then.

Yes I remember this one as well and thought that as well at the time but No Shawn was just a bit too hard to read at times and she had her " moments " sometimes;..they got along so well in season 8... I usually Like MOST Mark's partnerships because he can get along with anybody (unlike some pros ) .....and his partnership with Shawn was in the top 3 for me; I was just so taken aback by her behavior during the All Stars season

Controversial maybe but Bristol is up there (first time she did the show ) as one of my favorite partner from him.

Sadie is slowly taking that n1 spot as my favorite partner with him ; I have never seen him so joyful and inspired on the show since season 8.

I'm not sure if Shawn and Mark dated but there was a notable difference in how they behaved with each other in the All stars season.

Really surprised so many people enjoyed Jessie J. I thought she was beyond terrible. The worst guest judge so far (although Maks is close).
She knew nothing about dancing. But that's ok. It's a given. They never do. But admitting she had never seen any of the performers before was a disappointment. At least Donny O was professional enough to spend an hour on youtube brushing up.
But what really bothered me was just how appalling her English was. And how long she rambled on for.
She just seemed an odd choice for me. She isn't a dancer, a name or a personality.

Of the dances, Sadie was the best imo. Although that's not saying a lot, there were many awful numbers, not least the sleazy and messy "burlesque".

Firstly I wish they had stuck to ballroom and latin for the switch up - at least we might have learned something about how the regular pairs are working together. Secondly, I found all the dance genres too random to have any meaning. I didn't think Jessie J's critiques were worth anything, but honestly, when it comes to Bollywood or Burlesque or Flamenco, neither are Julianne's or Bruno's or Carrie Ann's. At best they can say 'You achieved the flavour' or 'You kept up'. Pointless, but hey ho....

Antonio's Bollywood entertained me more than some of his other performances, but Allison still put herself to the fore. I don't think she's cut out for this teaching and showcasing a celeb malarky
Bethany seemed to gain a little more personality this week, but I thought her hip hop routine was a curious mix of dance styles and a bit lame. I didn't see the much vaunted swag anyway. She's a decent dancer, and seems like a nice girl, but that's as far as it goes. *shrug*
Jonathan was living on the edge with that jitterbug (or Peta was). I still don't know if he has any dancer potential as I think he was overwhelmed by content and difficulty, but at least we saw him and noticed him!
Alfonso isn't really the right build to fake the lines and shaping in a flamenco really brilliantly, but it was a valiant effort and I enjoyed Cheryl swooshing around .
Janel was on a hiding to nothing with a genre that was there to sensationalise and which no one seems to be able to define. I thought parts were pretty entertaining but the combination-lift section was too much. It doesn't seem to be a dance that lends itself to partner dancing.
Michael was cheesy. Disco's cheesy.
Tommy was doing a Mambo?! Erm, okey dokey . Emma looked great, but didn't she say something about not being one of those girls who dances in bikinis a couple of weeks ago?
Sadie's dance was fun. Lovely dress. Sometimes she dances with her legs planted really wide apart and looks a bit ungainly, but I enjoyed it. I'd like it if we could stop with the duck references now, please.
Lea's Broadway was nice and used some jive and her acting, but, if I'm honest I thought Val was a bit lazy with it - I don't know that he moved her much further forward. Too many other dancers on stage yet again and it became about the production and not Lea's dancing. Oh, and for the first time I thought her outfit made her look a bit frumpy

I didn't like Jessie as a judge, but I thought her opening number was fab-u-lous and I'm glad she's back to a lovely, shiny full head of hair .

Yes I enjoyed Jessie's opening number, she got the show going imo, otherwise it would have been a bit flat. What I liked about Jessie's judging was some of her scoring was more realistic. Although it went down like a lead balloon with some of the celebs, by the looks on their faces! Had to smile at her walking up to Allison and Antonio in an after show interview to apologise for her low scoring of him, so even she backtracked on herself. His expression was a picture, he didn't crack his face to her! Jessie seemed to have stirred up some DWTS fans, not liking her critique of certain celebs.

Seems to be the way on DWTS, if the judges critique the celebs' performances, they then say how much they like the person or try to minimise their comments, so as not to upset the celebs! Rather different to CRH.

Emma had to do something to 'spark' Tommy up in the Mambo, so her red, gold and green bikini seemed to be the answer, even she couldn't save the dance. Although quite why she was given Jamaican colours, locks and song is a mystery, for a mambo. Plus the other couples were wearing hats and faux locks, did I miss something, didn't quite understand the concept????

Derek and Sadie, were ok, still not keen on the Chezza song for a Charleston. Feel Sadie is better suited to Mark. Derek's gone 'off the boil', for me, this season with his choreo.

What a mishmash of styles and dancing, hard to judge and then score them. Hope we see some ballroom next week, please.
Agree about the Chezza song. I thought the Derek's choreo was a bit charleston-lite (not that we get much authentic charleston anywhere on SCD or DwtS ) and Derek was using a few stock moves (some his, some Sadie and Marks), but I did enjoy it. In general I haven't been bowled over by his choreo this year, but hard to say why that might be. He's very busy, isn't he? maybe going through the motions a little...

BIB Well, you know you won't get any argument from me on that, but I think TPTB see it differently! 5 weeks in and only Michael has danced two ballrooms. Depending on how you view AT, Tommy hasn't done any! (Foxtrot next though). I'm not sure what Bethany or Alfonso have next, but of the other 3 good dancers, none has a ballroom.

My cynical side would say, someone may have had a word in Derek's ear to let someone else have a chance, got a feeling Mark may clinch it this year. Yes that thought had crossed my mind, his other interests are taking up his time, with his part in Nashville etc. I quite liked their Charleston, but know he can do a lot better. Chezza song really detracted from it imo.

I think the celebs will struggle when they have a ballroom number, because they haven't really had any basic training as a foundation, the ones with dance experience will probably be able to wing it though.

I dont care for Jenna; As a troupe or future pro (Imo she is too earnest which amount to almost desperation and looks sloppy in pro dances & doesn't stand out ) . Not to mention that (someone correct me if Im wrong ) but she is another contemporary/jazz dancer from SYTYCD .......
Unfortunately I have a sinking feeling that they are going to make her a pro next season, especially since Cheryl and Karina want to leave. I didn't really find her contributions valuable; Sometimes I hate it when they bring " friends of the show " or people from the " Chmerkovsky fam Clan " (serge, jenna, henry, sharna, ....) because they are usually NOT unbiased
I enjoy the show more when they have (neutral ) guests like Basil, Shirley, .....but then again I understand that booking them is difficult and booking those Troupe members not that hard.
Although, I find Corky more balanced than Shirley; Shirley IMO gush too much about Derek (her favorite child ) and is quite harsh towards her biological son Mark ; Sigh................Thats another topic for another day.........

Im sorry but I dont care for the Troupe AT ALL. I am getting sick and tired of seeing them futured in a lot of dances ....I understand that the show have to justify their presence there but they can justify their presence by having more Pro numbers for instance.

I didnt like the show .
I did think that Bethany opened more this week and imo it was due to the fact that she had Mark has a partner and Im glad that Anna talked about it more in depth and highlighted the differences between Derek and Mark teaching styles.
For those who dont know, their teaching styles is completely different; Mark always choreograph his routines prior to the rehearsals and then teach to his celebs (Just like Val ) ; Derek choreograph on the spot with his celebrities (just like Maks )

Personally, I learn better with how Mark and Val teach...but to each their own....shrug......

I agree with Suri on Janel.
Im glad that Jenna explained why Artem felt conflicted with Burlesque but let it be this lesson to the producers to NOT feature it on the show in the future; Because it was a bit of a disaster and not a " hit " like probably they anticipated.

Lastly , I missed Jake ; He makes that show more upbeat imo; is more neutral and has some great observations to make; He balances these ladies......when he is not there the show is a bit......meh......imo

Oh and I agree with the fact that Derek could have done better with that Charleston (he doesnt seem invested this season like others ) ; I know its a huge hit with the public (almost at half a million of views now on the abc channel and other channels while the 2nd most watched dance is trailing at 60-70 k views ) .
A LOT of the moves he put in that charleston were repetitive imo ; in the sense that I have seen him done it with his previous partners; I would have loved to see Sadie do it with Mark because he is really quite good at it imo and plus their personalities would have been perfect for it;
I think that he sacrificed a bit of her personality (which is perfect for that dance ) for the technique; ALL in all, it was a good dance imo but not my favorite of last night;

My favorite dance from last night was Bethany and Mark hip hop actually....

I skimmed over some of AB it was a bit boring in parts, we need guests who tell it like it is. Yes bring back, Corky or Shirley, they are more honest, yes Shirley does always love Derek though.

Interested what Suri said, about Artem and the routine, I was the same I wanted to love it but was disappointed.

Liked Anna saying about the scoring on SCD compared to DWTS.

Just watched the show and I agreed with judges. The new dance styles where beyond terrible. Janel will probably be in jeapordy next week. Just not entertaining IMO and I doubt the American audience will like it.

Michael was pathetic. However his biggest strength is obviously Emma she is a Goddess <333

Sadie Robertson was the star. Amazing Charleston. But I did cringe when she was saying how good Derek was and did not highlight Mark in the skybox with Erin.

Sadie only highlighted the difference between Mark and Derek teaching styles in the skybox and the similarities in their personalities. I don't remember her praising Derek at the detriment of Mark

She said in an interview ( abc7 ) with Mark presents next to her that she learned more to think on her feet and have resistance in her arms like Mark kept telling her with Derek...but that's about it..
She also said that already knew how to do the " crazy feet " ( Charleston feet moves ) because Mark had been teaching it to her since day 1

Mark wrote in his blog yesterday that he was SO happy and relieved that Derek was her partner because he knew she would have been in good hands, he's brother and all that jazz
