Let's have a theme week, then have the judges spend the entire episode complaining about the theme getting in the way...
Also the wrong team "won" the team dance... |

So currently watching the show. I think Sadie might be in danger next week sadly along with Janel. Len <333 So happy he is back.
Felt sorry for Michael. How can the judges expect him to do a proper Jive. I kinda want him to stay. The team dances next.... |

If I didnt know that Derek is a lovely guy and a VERY talented person, I would really dislike him; This show and MOST of his fans can make you really dislike him
![]() .....I love the guy but the favoritism that he gets is really unfair on the other Pros .I promise you that If Mark or ANY OTHER PROS did the same exact routine that he did with Bethany , he would have been slated for it and if Derek did the same exact routine that Mark did he would have received 9s and 10s Anyways, Im pretty sure that Mark has a very good chance of being nominated for the Emmys NEXT year with his Up dance, The Paso Zombie/Walking Dead and The Duck Dynasty Samba with Sadie ![]() ....He was bashed like crazy by the judges in season 12 with Chelsea Kane for his choreography but months later he gathered his first 3 EMMY nominations for 3 of their dances (their jive, waltz and Viennese Waltz) Next week, Lea (even being near the top of the leaderboard ) and Tommy are going to be in danger of going home. I see no talk about her dance elsewhere (whether good or bad ), almost as if she was forgettable and its never a good sign..... she doesnt have the fanbase that the others have and Artem still doesnt have any significant fanbase Michael has the Nascar fanbase so I dont think that he is going home next week..... so it will be between Lea and Tommy IMO.... I want Tommy to stays and Lea too mostly because of Artem but we'll see. |

"You've never looked better". She seems to have it out for him. Its weird. Imagine if Len said that about a female pro etc. |

I am worried Sadie could be an OMFG boot. We've not had one in a while on DWTS and I could see huge votes for Tommy and Michael. She is in the danger mid table along with Janel. People may assume she is safe.
![]() ; Go to the DWTS facebook (which is usually a good indication of the voting ) and all the comments are about " sick of Derek Favoritism ", " using all my phone lines to vote for Sadie and Mark" , "they are underscored every week " " Bethany and Derek are always overscored " blah blah...... and she is already very popular and I dont know if the judges understand that by underscoring them they are making MORE people vote for them ![]() (Im not complaining though ) I saw So many people voting for them last night who didnt usually vote for them.....so Im actually worried for Lea the most....she is really flying under the radarhttps://www.facebook.com/dancingwiththestars At GMA Sadie and Mark were chosen by the viewers as the favorite dance from last night (I was surprised actually, I tghought it would have been Derek and B) Good Morning America @GMA 7h7 hours ago Who was your favorite dancer couple from @DancingABC last night? Our flash poll said @sadierob and @MarkBallas. Agree, or disagree, America? Rickey.Org complained about their scoring Mjsblog fansofreality tv....tumblr...so yeah I try to go pretty much everywhere to see how the couples are doing as far as the public is concerned so they are (Sadie and Mark ) VERY safe

Just like Amy Purdy took Eiizabeth's spot last year ![]() I STILL think that the final 2 will be Alfonso and Sadie but the final 3 will probably be Bethany imo just because of her fanbase combined with Derek...... I really dont see Janel getting past these 2. When I tell you that Derek has the most dedicated fans.... and when you combined them with Bethany...they will get 3rd at the most. I cant see Janel or Lea getting past these 2 BUT Sadie and Alfonso can. |

Marks attitude really leaves a sour taste in your mouth. His routine wasn't great. And Sadie did not dance it well. The scores were more than fair. But every week he takes everything so personally. The guys got issues (but then if I had had the Houghs invited into my childhood to outdo me at every turn I probably would too).
I thought Alfonso was pretty rubbish this week. The two team dances were both a little average and maybe a tie would have been fair. |

I think "many times" is a bit of an exaggeration. The comment you mention I am still unsure of. For two people as close as they could be, I think it would be innocent enough. A playful jibe which maybe touched a nerve. However, if there had been any tension there then it would probably have carried some bite I agree.
But we can only guess as to how friendly the two are. |

Oh please, Julianne has been passive aggressive with her comments towards Mark since she's on that panel. Even people who don't like Mark noticed that. I don't know why she can't judge him and his celebrity without refraining herself from making personal comments....even her compliments are at times back-handed.
I repeat even fans of the show who cannot stand Mark have noticed it too. You also don't want me to get into Julianne disastrous flopping Hollywood career so much that she had to come back to dwts when she acted like that show was way above her years ago. Yes Derek is talented BUT also a great deal of his success on the show is mostly due to the immense favoritism that he gets; let's not kid ourselves. This is exactly the main reason why I cannot stand some Derek fans; a lot of them are always putting other pros down in favor of the Houghs. That's not nice. Yes Mark's Paso with Sadie may have been awful for some people BUT a lot of people frustrations stems from the fact that Derek would have received 9s and 10s from that exact dance. It's the unfairness of it all. Case in point, Len and some of the judges complained about the drums distracting from the dance, saying that they felt that Bethany was lost at times BUT guess what ? They still gave them 3 10s and a 9. Mark's had the use of dancers like Derek did and he gets 2 7s and 2 8s ??? I would be pissed too. Sadly he and the other pros are used to it. Things can be summed up to this : if you're going to penalize Mark on the use of props, dancers in his routine, penalize Derek too. Don't penalize him and reward Derek with good scores. Mark complaining about his scores in prior weeks ? Why wouldn't he complain when a certain pro gets rewarded for doing less than he does with his celebrity ? Singing in the rain was all about Derek. Even Lacey, Anna ... said that Bethany was half a beat behind him during the whole routine BUT guess what ? They got 3 10s and ONCE AGAIN the judges were praising Derek NOT BETHANY. C'mon now !!! And Julianne saying to Derek that we should use that dance in our tour Derek . How rich !!! The problem that a lot of people have is that it always feels like they're judging Derek NOT Bethany !!! I like Derek let me reiterate it BUT let's NOT act like the judges don't treat him differently than the rest of the pros and it's NOT fair on these pros. End of rant ! |

Did Mark react badly to Julianne's comment?
He looked pretty peed off during the judges' comments, but that could easily have been the eyes and make-up, Tbh, I wouldn't have thought anything of it if it hadn't been discussed here. It seemed like a throwaway, jokey thing to me. I know Julianne said The Very Cutting Thing when she was guest judging, but she's paid him some great compliments this season (including one about great partnering or showing off his partner or wtte ). Dunno how things are between them in reality (which might affect how he reads things, of course), but I can't see much cause for complaint in her judging of him this season.I haven't finished watching all the dances yet, but I thought both Mark and Derek (and others) put too much production into their numbers and got carried away with the theming. Found both really entertaining, but thought both ladies got overshadowed by everything else going on. I did thing Bethany danced her routine better than Sadie on this occasion - and it's not often you could say that. Just don't think Sadie captured the paso at all and maybe it was - in part - down to a disconnect between the sweet character she was playing and the fierceness required of the paso, but I found it all a bit limp from her. Perhaps she felt under rehearsed. Difficult to know if Mark was being a prat about the scores and reminding the judges it was an entertainment show (like the panto dames on the panel need reminding!) because of the make-up etc, but it came across to me as exasperation and annoyance. I think he and Derek get so caught up in the whole production, they forget that what's being judged is their celeb's ability to perform a good paso doble and not their own creativity. Thought the scores for Sadie were fair, but Derek's 10s were too much. Bethany ( ) deserved 9s ,imo.

After watching the show, i have to be honest and say that DWTS has seen much better days.
A couple of thoughts:I'm sure I'll get shot for this, but I loved Bethany & Derek's Paso. It definitely wasn't ten-worthy, but Bethany was on-point in every step she did, and actually put some character into it - at long last! I thought the use of drums really enhanced the performance, and made it even more dramatic. It was my favourite performance of the night, even if slightly overmarked. In comparison, I found Sadie's Paso to be a little uncoordinated, and lacked some basic technique, too - in the chasse-capes, you're meant to lead with your heel into the ball of your foot, but, from what I could see, she was leading off the ball and then falling onto the heel. The choreography was too frantic as well, and the extra dancers weren't needed and didn't improve the routine - I think Mark made a mistake there. Though I like her, the marks were fair. As much as I do like Val (he's my favourite pro choreography-wise on the show), that Viennese Waltz... well, until looking further down on the YouTube page, I thought she was dancing Contemporary. I mean, she danced it very well, but there are some people online who think she got undermarked. ![]() Oh, and if Michael doesn't go next week, I might throw something at the laptop. No promises, though.

You're so generous this season Mark ( rumba week ) ..... AND last Monday " this is the best you probably looked Mark " and other things she said...just This season, how isn't this throwing back handed compliments or being personal ?
Again, what does has anything to do with his Paso with Sadie ? AND Mark explained that Sadie was supposed to dance like that, soft and strong at times, it was the character of the dance... I understood it. Anna explained it as well in this week Afterbuzz tv show, she explained the concept of the dance... I liked Bethany and Derek paso btw BUT I thought that those scores were too generous. Anyways, Sadie and Mark were the BEST Paso on the night (according to America ) since they're once again this week the MOST watched dance from week 7 on various channels on YouTube ![]() ![]()

I can understand why Mark is fed up with the marks put Derek in the same dances and it would be 9 and 10s. Look at the rumba Derek's had no contents yet only got 2 marks less than Mark and Sadie's and that was with Pitbull's 10 and with Bruno marking Derek and Bethany's higher
![]() ![]() ![]() I am a Derek fan but I have only thought one dance was up to his standards (taking out the jazz which should have been a solo macy's piece) and that was the tango (have not seen the paso properly yet) I loved Mark's idea for the paso and thought it would have worked if it had of be executed better by Sadie who made some mistakes but if he is getting criticised for adding dancers (which I actually thought help the piece as Sadie looked better, more comfortable and more confidence when the dancers came in although that could have been because she had a skirt to swing about too) and getting carried away with the theme then so should others. I have enjoyed Mark's choreography the most this series followed by Artem's and probably Witney's whereas Derek and Val - I am usually a fan of their choreography - I finding aren't up to their usual standard and seem to forget to do the dance style they have been given Janel and Val dance was terrible no content no substance and I hated her outfit it was suppose to be a viennesse waltz right Witney and Alfonso's rumba was gorgeous really loved this dance nice to see him do something difference than up tempo latins it wasn't perfect tho Lea and Artem's Argentine tango was danced well but lack connection and chemistry. Michael and Emma's ahem jive apparently was ahem awful. still find Emma's bikini comment funny. Tommy and Peta he is trying but he is getting out of his depth now Antonio and Cheryl - like most of their dances this season it was all about Cheryl As for the team dances i found team itsy bitsy boring and they hid Michael at the back at the start so much so he might as well not have been there and Emma looked like she fell out of their last move in their solo. Lea looked uncomfortable and awkward in their solo, Bethany did her argentine tango bit well and Janel oops couldn't remember who else was in the group says a lot. I was annoyed that they hid Michael so much I never seen this before in another group dances. The group dance with Bill is still one of my fav i loved that Val made Bill the star of the piece even though he was one of the weaker dancers and Bill was great in it because he showed his strengths and they were a team. Team creepy better concept and more entertaining i thought what Julianne said was unfair funny enough it is harder to keep timing when you have a 17 year old girl and a 76 year old man than when you have 2 trained dancers, a man hiding at the back and a 18 year old. love Sadie and Alfonso's solo, they used Antonio's strengths and Tommy fitted the character of the dance and wasn't hidden. |

Yes, I found myself agreeing with Grumpy Len quite a lot and he was right about this one. It was a nice dance but not a Viennese waltz. I enjoyed the staging, though. Shame they didn't dance a VW - it could have been great with the music.
