Artem can do a great freestyle, his freestyle with Natalie is in my top 3 SCD freestyles with Tom & Camilla and Zoe & Ian.

I think something's bugging Mark this season. I get the feeling his choreography is always limited because of Sadie's beliefs - I felt he had to camp up the Paso last week to take away some of the latent Halloween-ess of it and the Rumba was more of a Contemporary number; I sense it wouldn't have been had he fully got his own way.

I think (although maybe I'm misreading the signs) someone needs to take him to one side and tell him to be happy with who he is and what he does rather than trying to be (better than) somebody else.

I don't know if the restrictions are the problem or not. He should be really chuffed to be working with a young, able bodied, fit, good natured, pretty partner with natural ability! They have a great chance to win - especially as I think Alfonso is fading a little (perhaps the injury is knocking the edge off?). He seemed content working with Candace and some of the same constraints . I guess there may be frustration because she has all the right ingredients and the 'impositions' are the fly-in-the-ointment stopping him from achieving greatness . I could see it being a bit annoying (who would want granny in the training room as back-seat choreographer?!), but there's always going to be something not perfect in this situation and he needs to see his glass is 99% full not 1% empty.

As for the BIB - that's my feeling exactly. I know he loves Derek as a brother, but some of the most soul-consuming rivalries are between siblings.

I don't much mind who wins (aside from not really wanting it to be Bethany ) but I hope Alfonso puts up a good fight. It would be a shame if the great start he had fizzled out. I agree with what was said upthread, too. Whitney's choreography is beginning to repeat itself (there's always a little hip-hop cameo in every number, for example ). I've really liked what she's done for the most part though.

(Nothing against Bethany really - and if they were stellar in the final and won, it would be fine - but she hasn't really come alive for me and another Derek win would be a bore )

I don't think that's the problem as fridgesoup said he had Candace and Bristol in the past who has similar beliefs and restrictions. Shirley has been praising Sadie no end on twitter for her high morals. I think it to do with the judges and scoring the rumba is the perfect example Bethany and Derek had no content whereas Sadie and Mark (although it had a contemporary feel with the music and lighting) which Mark does it was full of content yet Bruno scored Bethany's higher and Julianne gave the same without pitbull's 10 they would have got the same score which is unfair. The only thing that Sadie's family wanted removed was the unnecessary move of mark running his hand up Sadie leg which added nothing to the dance anyways. If Derek or even Val had done the same paso their creativity would have been praised whereas when it is Mark I think that is his problem.

I don't think Mark likes Julianne on the panel & her obvious bias to Derek. As already been said Mark loves Derek like a brother but they are highly competitive and I think part of mark wants to be seen as the main male pro but he can't as Derek is still there despite his many occasions of saying he is leaving and then the whole Henry/Artem situation probably didn't help either I think he think that he doesn't get the respect he deserve by being the longest standing male pro there (Tony like Anton doesn't count )

I think anyone would be annoyed by the obvious judging bias. Julianne's comments last (?) season to Mark were out of order. Whatever her problem with Mark while they were partnered together should be left there, not brought to DWTS. Also, the mere fact that Julianne was brought on as the 4th judge just proves producers bias toward Derek.

This is the HAPPIEST I have seen Mark since season 8 ........I just cant get over of how much I have enjoyed this season with Sadie so far....

She brought something beautiful in him; rejuvenated him in some ways because I have a feeling that he was feeling really jaded about the show and it showed in previous years....... WIN or LOSE = he and Sadie are a dancing match made in heaven imo

Out of ALL HIS partnerships from him this is probably my favorite. Before this season , it was always a tie between Shawn and Bristol for me.

I agree when you said that its not her religious beliefs or conservatism that annoy him. He had partners like that in the past and that didnt phase him (yes it got frustrated at times ) but he is used to it ; I also think that it makes him more creative.

THE PROBLEM HERE is that the judges do not give Sadie's credit; Go to the dwts facebook page (which is a good representation of the voting public/audience ) https://www.facebook.com/dancingwiththestars or youtube comments on her dances , I assure you that ALL THE TOP comments and MOST of the comments are always about :" stop underscoring Sadie ", " she deserved better scores" and blah blah.....the judges are underscoring her in comparison to the other competitors... I like Bethany BUT they are making it seem like Bethany for example is a better dancer than her (which is ludicrous ) but thats what the scoring shows......

They are uber-critical of her......at strictly this would never happens...you wouldn't have someone like Mark getting better scores than Jake or Pixie/Frankie every week but yet thats what is going on here and thats where Mark's (and some of the public ) frustration lies this season.

Even People who dont like Sadie or Mark, say the same thing so its not even a biased comment here.

Anyways, this is usually an indication of someone who is running with the votes. EVERY single week (with the exception of week 4 when Alfonso did the Carlton ) , her dances are the MOST attached on the dwts channel and elsewhere.......Janel's contemporary who got 40 and who is heavily promoted by that page is at 58.000 views this week while Sadie's are at 215.000 views this week...........the closest one is Bethany with 67.000 views......

That may not mean anything but Im like whatever at their scores now lol.

She keeps making veiled comment about Mark Even when she is giving him a compliment, it sometimes comes as a backhanded compliment because she cant help herself but to make a small dig.........

Not that it matters, but I loved Julianne when she used to be a pro dancer on this show but I must say that my opinion of her dramatically went down since she left the show and since she came back.

With Len thinking about retiring, I feel like they are preparing her for this role; to take his place....... ......I wished they would think about someone else; They are SO many talented/qualified former dancers out there who work in the entertainment world.....

As long as it isn't Maks replacing Len. Anyone without a bias would be nice so not Julianne or Maks

Thinks he is happy enough playing second fiddle to Derek most of the time as Derek is his biggest ally but he is also his biggest competition, i still feel he isn't happy that he doesn't have the same profile/power as Derek or that as Serge put it that he doesnt receive the same 'presents' of scores that Derek gets.

I agree both are as creative but so are Artem and Val and that is just on the male pro side. I don't understand why this year one of the other pros haven't been given the Macy's dance ie Karina or Sharna who went out early. The show does favour pros including Mark.

It was Kristyn Burtt who claimed--mistakenly--that Bethany was half a second behind him the whole time. Watch the video frame by frame and you'll see she kept up with him beautifully and was never behind him except opening the umbrella and running up the stairs.
