Yes
, Yes, yes !!! Mark and Sadie have the Argentine Tango next week. My favorite dance of all by my favorite couple and they also have the Quickstep which is my favorite ballroom dance . This couldn't be more perfect, I'm so excited ![]() ![]() ![]() So 3 couples will be doing the Argentine Tango next week because Alfonso and Janel are also doing it. Tommy and peta have rumba and jazz No words yet on Derek and Bethany dances. Alfonso has the contemporary as second dance and Janel the Paso. And next week , it is unplugged and plugged which means that they are dancing to 2 different versions of the same song .....I have a feeling that some couples will get awful songs for this one .[b]It will be an exciting semi final ![]() Lea, Lea....Sigh............ https://www.facebook.com/dancingwith...type=1&theater Anyways, Week 8 stats #DWTS Stats @DancingABCStats Week 8 most viewed dances on DWTS YouTube channel 1) Sadie's Contemporary (238K) 2) Bethany's Salsa (88K) 3) Janel's Contemporary (73K) |

Anyone else surprised at how Janel and Val have no chemistry for a couple who is pushing for a showmance.

Anyone know why you could still vote for Artem & Lea on the abc website even though they were eliminated?

Enjoyed the weeks dances. But the Tommy Trio was the usual Peta number - sleazy and embarrassing.
I think Bethany deserves the trophy. She's improved a lot and has shown the most versatility in performance and dancing. Glad Leah has gone tbh. She was all a little desperate. Both she and Artem were trying too hard and it made for awkward viewing. |

And oh dear, if you listen to Afterbuzz TV this week, I dont think the Artemites here are going to like this episode ![]() ; they start talking about Lea at :10 btw I agreed with the comments on the Afterbuzz tv show about Lea/Artem ; They practically said the same thing you just said in so many words......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Yu057-WCxY I think that what shocked me the most about this show was Shirley criticizing Derek (she said that there was not enough AT tango content ) ....I never thought I would see the day ![]() ; She is usually & always more tough towards her own son (Mark Ballas ) and more lenient towards Derek (her adopted son) ..... And I like the fact that she did said that Sadie's jive was not that great..............for anyone ready to talk about favoritism.....there you go....Anyways, it was a great episode

She a bit too ballet for my taste she was technically good but didn't capture the feel of most of her dances but also needed more ballroom but still deserved to get further than Tommy. As for Julianne and Artem explains a lot she seems to be a harder judge to her exes |

Tommy - liked his Viennese waltz but had to rewatch it before writing this as it was forgettable didn't like his trio at all
Sadie - didn't like either of the jive songs that America had to pick him and didn't like the jive her worst so far, loved the trio dance probably the best 1 and I think Artem did them a favour. Notice the mistake because of Sadie's face, she had a omg I gone wrong face then Emma had a oh no worried look followed by mark Lea - technically good but boring samba needed more flavour. Was lea in her trio dance? She lacked presence throughout Alfonso - good foxtrot but not amazing, loved their paso hated the song Bethany - loved the song needed more in hold but great for a dwts ballroom but did it end to soon? They seem to be standing waiting on the end of the music instead of dancing to the end of the music. love the trio dance despite the timing issues at the start & the middle where Bethany was laying on the ground with her hands up for long thought Tony was great loved the bits where Derek mirrored Bethany's movement whilst she was with Tony, very creative but lack tango content. great dance rubbish Argentine Tango. Janel - pity about the tumble/mistakes fantastic routine from Val and showed she can dance ballroom not just jazz/contemporary. Love their trio but again lacked content. |

That sums up so many of the dances this season for me. Insert genre of choice... "Great dance, rubbish xyz".

A HUGE WTF once again at MOST of these song choices
![]() ![]() ![]() !!!!!“Episode 1910” – Five remaining couples advance to the Semi-Finals and perform two routines during plugged/unplugged, on “Dancing with the Stars,” MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET). The semi-finalists including Tommy Chong, Bethany Mota, Janel Parrish, Alfonso Ribeiro, and Sadie Robertson will perform to two different versions of the same song. In the first round of the competition, the couples will perform a Jazz, Quickstep, Samba, Paso Doble or Argentine Tango to an original or “plugged” version of their selected song. In round two of the competition, the couples will perform an Argentine Tango, Rumba, or Contemporary routine to an acoustic or “unplugged” version of that same song. Special musical guests will accompany the unplugged performances including singer Christina Grimmie, who will perform “Love Runs Out,” Time For Three, who will perform “Blame,” and YouTube sensation Noah Guthrie, who will perform his cover of “Problem.” At the end of the night, one couple will be eliminated and four couples will move on to the finals. Couples will be dancing to the following “Plugged/Unplugged” songs: Tommy Chong & Peta Murgatroyd - “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell and “unplugged” version by Hannah Peel Bethany Mota & Derek Hough - “I Want You Back” by Jackson 5 and “unplugged” version by The Civil Wars Janel Parrish & Valentin Chmerkovskiy - “Blame” by Calvin Harris, featuring a guest “unplugged” performance by Time For Three Alfonso Ribeiro & Witney Carson - “Love Runs Out” by One Republic, featuring a guest “unplugged” performance by Christina Grimmie Sadie Robertson & Mark Ballas - “Problem” by Ariana Grande, featuring guest “unplugged” performance by Noah Guthrie I love the song problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS1g8G_njx8 but how does it work for a QS or AT ![]() ![]() I can see it be slow down for a AT but a Quickstep ![]() ![]() Btw, this is the slow down version of that song and the guy who will be singing it next week http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr4mDuJFVZ4 |

Hmmm... interesting, especially since they pro danced to Love Runs Out earlier in the series with Julianne...
I really liked unplugged week in season 17, the likes of Amber and Corbin really shone, but none of the songs really seem appropriate for anything other than Waltz, Rumba or Contemporary, which only 3 of the couples have :/ Janel and Sadie might not score that highly this week. Bethany and Alfonso's to lose methinks. |

The more I listen to Sadie's and Mark song for their Argentine Tango which will be unplugged .....I like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr4mDuJFVZ4 the arrangement is amazing.....hard to think that this is actually the original song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS1g8G_njx8
![]() ![]() And its the same song that Mark and his mother Shirley Ballas were rehearsing to yesterday....and they are dancing the AT so Im guessing that she will probably help Sadie here.......before anyone starts (she helps the other couples as well ) ![]() That little clip was taken from Witney's snapchat so I guess she was in the training room with them..... http://instagram.com/p/vUGZbKG1u4/ And I have no worries over their QS even though the music is a bit unconventional; if anyone can make it work it's Mark ![]() ![]() The 2 Rascals yesterday after a long day of practice ![]() ![]() http://instagram.com/p/vVCotHzPIn/ |

This might explain why Artem & Lea was still in the vote - Alfonso is injured and may not be able to dance. I hope they can they have been doing great and I wouldn't like anyone to go out injured

Jonathan SLAMS DWTS ....
The 33-year-old actor also predicted that the remaining celebs, which include actors Alfonso Ribeiro and Janel Parrish, may not have a chance against YouTube fashion and beauty guru Bethany Mota, because she has a massive online following that tops 7 million followers. “YouTube’s a b-tch man,” he said. “You’re dealing with a big f--king empire there.” (Of course, Bennett forgot to mention that Mota is also partnered with five-time mirrorball champion Derek Hough, the show’s Emmy winning, top choreographer.)
Still, while “Copycat” host seems to be suffering from a case of sour grapes, he couldn’t help but dish one more dig – at one of this season’s most beloved contestants. “I mean, I am no one to talk,” Bennett said. “I got voted off before a 76-year-old man and a race car driver [Michael Waltrip] who has two left feet. So, the fact that that happened means anything is possible. Really. Like, Tommy Chong is still on the show. It’s amazing.” http://www.examiner.com/article/jona...inst-an-empire Safe to say that he will never be asked to do an All-stars season ![]() What I dont understand is that he said that he and his parents used to watch the show ; So why does he complain about it being a popularity contest ![]() Some contestants really need to do their research before they sign for these kind of shows. This doesnt look also good for his pro Allison Holker; I really hope that she doesnt come back next season.. Geez... what he said about Michael.......... I didnt especially like what he said about Tommy; He is still there because people are enjoying him this season and voting for him; You were not popular enough and not that good of a dancer to start off with. GET OVER IT !!! Im also a bit surprised of what he said about Bethany....He seemed really closed to her on the show ... but reading that you will have never guessed it ![]() .... Sour Grapes !!!

I notice that Emma Slater tweeted that her parents were coming in from England and are now in LA with her. I am happy they get a chance to see her dance live on the show as I would imagine they will be sitting in the audience Monday night.
or maybe even the finale. The Slaters have to be proud - Emma is a very popular and well loved pro.

Nice to see Jonathan isn't bitter
![]() These shows are never solely about dancing. But everyone left bar Tommy is a great dancer and certainly better than Jonathan was! Done himself no favours here! |

This show will get back to annoy/frustrate me again tonight
.No wonder it keeps losing viewers.....after this season, I will take another hiatus from DWTS (who knows ? maybe they will cancel it in the meantime ).

This is only a silly entertainment show; Most of the times, the winner (look at Nicole Sherzinger, Amber Riley, Jennifer Grey......they are still back to where they were and didnt have that big career boost ) don't even get that career boost that they desperately want.
Its NOT that serious....Alfonso's injury seemed worse than I thought....he really needs to chill....I think that Witney may have pushed him too hard this season; He is not a young'un, he is a a man in his 40s..... This show is not worth having continuous back injuries after the show is over...... |
