So the cast for Season 19 of Dancing With The Stars, likely is:

Tommy Chong, 76, Cheech & Chong comedian, actor and activist
Betsey Johnson, 72, Fashion designer
Lea Thompson, 53, Film actress (Back to the Future)
Michael Waltrip, 51, NASCAR driver & racing commentator
Randy Couture, 51, UFC mixed martial arts fighter & actor (The Expendables)
Alfonso Ribiero, 42, Former Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor
Antonio Sabato Jr, 42, General Hospital actor & model
Jonathan Bennett, 33, Film and television actor (Mean Girls)
Lolo Jones, 32, Track and field olympian
Nash Overstreet, 28, Hot Chelle Rae band member (at this point unlikely)
Janel Parrish, 25, Pretty Little Liars actress
Bethany Mota, 18, YouTube sensation
Sadie Robertson, 17, Reality television star (Duck Dynasty)
Overall this is a really low-star-power cast. Chong & Johnson, in their own ways, are fairly important, Thompson and Ribiero reasonably well known actors, but definitely C list (Thompson's main claims to higher would be a TV show that was popular for a few years, and of course, Back To The Future). Sabato Jr. is really well known to a niche audience who watched that soap, but probably not much outside of that. Jones got really famous around the Olympics, but it was that kind of sports-driven fame that's not that deep. Duck Dynasty is really big to a certain demographic in the US, but I suppose its no surprise nobody else in the world knows anybody from it.

Bethany Mota is the most confusing casting I've ever seen. It's some kind of weird attempt to acknowledge the power of Net celebrity, I guess.

Ribiero definitely is one of the periodic ringers they bring in. I mean he was an actual professional dancer. Not a "sort of dancer". A professional. He starred on Broadway as the lead of a dance-centered show.

Remember the Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson where Jackson's hair caught on fire? Ribiero was a backup dancer on that. The one caveat is that his main specialty was Tap, but its hardly all he knew.

Also in terms of popularity, the moment he does The Carlton Dance, you can triple the voting for him.

Admittedly, if he'd been signed up back in the 90s, I'd put him up with a PROFESSIONAL ICE DANCING CHAMPION as the biggest ringah in the show's history. However, much like a famous sportsman loses his edge when he reaches 40, so I feel a dancer may also. Ribiero will do well, no doubt, but if he's consistently getting 9s and 10s early on like Meryl was, I will eat my hat!

Hope we can either get this series on UK tv or can watch online. I can't wait to see Michael Waltrip... absolutely love him as a broadcaster / personality for NASCAR. I'm a massive NASCAR fan and it was good to see him and his dance partner on TV at the race on Saturday night.

Michael Waltrip has boatloads of personality. Here is in Time Square with Emma Slat-ter. I have read on twitter Emma is having a lot of fun with him.

Also a short interview with Karina, Jonathan and Alison, Lea and Artem as they leave.

Hi Lili - great to hear from you! I'm trying to interpret your 'Hmmm...' . Is it to do with her ringeryness, suspicions you have for why they'd never approached her (til now) or the whiff of a fragile ego? (My concern is entirely for Artem's well-being, you understand )
Hi Fridgesoup. Waves from across the pond.

Hmmm because it seems strange that she has waited this long and from the interview it looks they never asked unless that was interview back when the show first started. As I recall in the beginning they did not cast ringers but now anything goes. Artem looks and sounds very pleased to have her so I am positive. Surely with ballet training she used to be coached in a strict disciplined way and understands Artem is looking to get the best out of her. There might be the ego thing as the competition progresses but I reserve judgement until I see how she copes. Hopefully no health problems. She certain appears much younger than 53 and in great shape.

Snippets of rehearsals for quite a few of the couples on PureDwtS (sorry, too lazy to post them separately)

Janel looks really good. Impressed with Lea. Keo and Lolo are very flirty

I've read a few times on here and various websites that Keo auditioned to be on Strictly before.. can anybody confirm this? I think he'd be great on it!
