Does anybody get those Organic 'Veg Boxes' delivered?
i have been looking around on the sites, and want to try a 'one off' delivery to see what each ones like.
but since putting in my details on ''riverfood'' they have been harassing me non stop trying to sell me this that and the other and flummox me on the phone. seriously so annoying !!! its like a bloody mobile phone company. now im looking at 'abel & cole' and the website seems very similar and the way pops ups appear trying to sell me add ons is worrying me now as if i enter my details i wont be left alone. i just want a bloody veg delivery. any suggestions for the south west of england ? |

I used to get an Abel & Cole box delivered years ago and they still hound me now. I tell them to stop calling but they never seem to get the message.
I stopped the box because they kept putting stuff in it that I'd said I didn't want, like salsify, chard and artichokes. I would only do something similar with a small, local company if I was to try it again. |

I ended up texting ''Which?" As there was an advert about a FREE guide for growing fruit and veg in your garden.
They called me back, and the woman was waffling on trying to sell something and asking for bank details . I put the phone down as its hot and I'm in a bad mood I give up. |

I've tried a few, but they've been local companies rather than larger ones like riverford or abel & cole, and never had a problem with them being pushy.
There's a list for south-west organic deliveries here: http://www.aboutorganics.co.uk/organ...outh-west.html. Maybe try a local company instead? |

I wouldn't do anything like that via a website.
We get a veg tray every week, but the grower is in the village. It's a bit of a co-operative / voluntary initiative whereby people can help out. I gave a few hours and planted the runner beans up there this year, for example. If you do that, you get a discount on your veg trays. The idea of a big company with a website doing something like this is an anathema surely. |

Not open all the time though. |
