That line about the IV was a dead giveaway. It was so planted in her script in order to none-too-subtly tell us she's really, honestly stuck in hospital. There was no realistic need for her to say it. It was exactly the sort of detail you slip into a lie.

The full name is Hyperemesis Gravidarum - the Gravidarum bit is what links it to pregnancy, because hyperemesis itself just means severe nausea/vomiting.

But there are any number of reasons why someone might need to be on an IV drip, dehydration and/or the loss of certain salts and minerals from the body being a common effect of many ilnesses - Norovirus or even a severe dose of the shits would do it.

Not that I think Kimberly is suffering with the Norovirus - that MF is seriously infectious and we would have seen the house hygiene regime change markedly (and possibly all the food being removed/replaced).

I suspect it might have been a kidney infection - can happen quite fast, wouldn't be any obvious outside signs (e.g. vomiting) for the other HMs to notice but would hurt like a bugger for Kim and potentially warrant treatment with IV antibiotics.

Her Facebook message on Saturday said she was out of hospital and fine. I don't know if it's even possible to go from being sick with a mystery illness one day, to hospitalised on a drip the next, to out of hospital and fine the next, but even if it were, this whole charade is clearly bare-faced, woefully orchestrated BS from BB.
