Your first posts were all about how creepy and odd Chris was in that exchange with Ashleigh, and how you felt sorry for him, and how he was up her arse (yawn). No mention of her side of things at all. On consideration of the fact that Ashleigh seemed fine with it, you switched to apparently having merely been "creeped out" by the pair of them having a back slapping session.

Of course they're uniting with the final in mind. Dur. We all use each other. They do share a lot of views about the other housemates though.

Ha yes... we know they know we know he nows she knows.

Don't see how any of that is creepy...

It would be interesting to know why as it was quite an affectation.
Tony Blair used to do it to get down with the people, but this was more specific to that word.

IMO he knows full well that he shouldn't be carrying on like this(focusing on looks) because it does put him at the level of Winston/Ash and he's aping the speech patterns to distance himself from what he's doing.”

Fantastic Chris is well and truly sussed. If it was a Blair tactic who presumably had coaches assisting him I wonder if Chris is basically employing his acting skills to get women.

Fair play to him

Well they are intelligent-ish, biologically aware human beings in close proximity. Neither of them are oblivious to the human condition. She's not unused to being fancied. Sure they know they know.

Nor do I. The opposite really.

For those of you who clearly don't lead normal lives. This is called talking. It is what normal people do on a daily basis. There doesn't always have to be anything sinister when 2 people talk.

They clearly get on very well which means they often talk. They are comfortable with each other so they probably have a similar sense of humour. Maybe if we hadn't been force fed Mark, Kimberly and Steven we would have seen this lovely friendship a while ago.

BB doesn't want Chris to win. They want someone more glamorous to win and so will continue to edit him in a strange way.

Don't let them fool us.

I :think that it is disgusting to try and make serious allegations about something that is not just there. Do not know what you were watching.......even more disturbing how your mind work.

It's a shame you can't give a young lady a compliment these days with being called creepy whatever.

Congratulations.”

Going to be hell.
Christopher winning might satisfy the most people & cause the least aggro i should think.

But you should see Facebook. Attacks are getting past being personal about housemate including the way they look to being about posters themselves.
Helen's army of fans seem to be vocal on there more so than on DS where i haven't come across many. They are apparently the ones behind arguments on there.”

Perhaps somebody can point out where the BIB are attacking HM rather than forum members.

Getting a bit sick of this.

Some people dislike some HM, doesn't mean they are weird, don't have normal lives or any other insult that is directed their way.

Some people post here about HM they dislike, doesn't mean there are co ordinated attacks and that they are not posting as individuals.

FFS make the argument for Chris instead of turning on people who post against him.
Surely it can't be that hard?

I should add though that if I happen to be chatting to the prettiest girl in the room I tend to leave out the bit about 'always going for the prettiest girl in the room', or telling them I watch them from afar.

Something tells me there's a chance it might come across a bit, er, odd.

Oh and I'll have taken off my skin revitalising, youth replenishing, face mask the night before too.

Actually, "they" do say that there's no such thing as a platonic relationship between a man and a woman because you can never quite forget that you're members of the opposite sex and what that potentially means (talking heterosexuals here obviously but the same principle of course applies across the sexual spectrum). And I do believe this tbh. There doesn't have to be sexual chemistry or anything but there's always gender awareness. You can still talk about everything under the sun (and even that's a "more or less"), be as frank and open as you like, but that little gender thing is still there impacting on/compromising complete freedom in your relationship. And it undoubtedly can sometimes influence what you say and how you say it. It's what I've experienced with my male "platonic" friendships of which I've had/have a fair few. Doesn't spoil said relationships, indeed sometimes enhances them, but makes them different to same-sex friendships.

To me it was very apparent that Chris and Ashleigh's conversation was an example of "platonic impossiblity". They like each other as friends, and treat each other as such whilst being highly aware of the gender difference. IMO the subject matter of that conversation would never have cropped up if there WERE such a thing as male/female platonic relationships - it smacked of gender awareness. But that doesn't make it wrong or creepy or sinister or pervy or any of the other unfortunate aspersions being cast upon it. They have a healthy opposite-sex friendship - there's trust, there's kindness, there's comfortableness, there's no threat, no awkwardness (insofar as Chris is able to be UN-awkward lol)......... but it isn't platonic. And there's nothing wrong with that.
