Or you can put the appropriate EE sim in (you'd need to find out exactly which EE brand it's locked to) and use it for 6 months, thereafter you can request the unlock from them for £20.42.
The good advice is never buy a second hand EE phone locked if you don't intend using it with EE. |

A lesson learnt here - find out if you can unlock it before buying it!

If it was officialiphoneunlock.co.uk then Quote:
The process did eventually work. It took a bit longer than predicted. The issue I had was being told first it would cost £20. Then after paying to be told it would cost another £80. This was blamed on EE putting the charge on!

If it was officialiphoneunlock.co.uk then Oh dear... http://www.reviewcentre.com/Mobile-P...eviews_1430754 Was just thinking the same Seen this on the reviews "I saw the £20 fee for OPU and didn't read the small print stating this was a service to get me on a list. Initially I was a bit shocked when I saw the extra £80 unlock fee" |

There are posts all over MacRumors about Officialiphoneunlock being scammers... [Edit] - Hmm, maybe I got that wrong. Anyway, here's a good thread for reference: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthre...aliphoneunlock |

My advice sell it on and buy one that's either unlocked or on the correct network. It may be abit harder finding one and finding one at the right price, but at least it won't need unlocking
