NOW's can often be disappointing in their offerings, but this is quite a good representation of the charts. Not too many aging tracks from late 2004 and the beginning of 2005, there are just enough brand new tracks and chart favourites to make this compilation stand until the next release in the summer.
It's almost as interesting as the charts seeing what songs are going to make it on to the NOW releases. Great to see inclusions of Lucie Silvas' Breathe In, The Killers - Somebody Told Me, Nelly feat Tim Mc Graw & The Chemical Brothers - Galvanise.

A good lineup but there are always some for the missing section.
Girls Aloud - Wake Me Up, they went for the almost forgotten by now cover of I'll Stand By You
Band Aid 20 - Do They Know It's Christmas - it was for charity and it was for christmas, not surprising not to see it here.
An Elvis Track - I thought there could be a chance that we could see a token Elvis track on this NOW, it would be the first time Elvis had appeared on a NOW, if they had chosen to do this. Jailhouse Rock would have been ideal.
Eminem - Like Toy Soldiers - Eminem has appeared on a Now Album once before with "Without Me" on Now 53, but the single is still in the charts.
Stonebridge ft Therese - Take Me Away - This dance track from January could have been a contender.
J-Lo - Get Right
Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath/Soldier - Neither of these got an inclusion, I would of hoped for Lose My Breath
Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten - No Natasha Bedingfield
Maroon 5 - Sunday Morning
Green Day - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Green Day have never been featured on a NOW album.

Some of those omissions seem pretty blatant - is it to do with the labels they're on? Seems bizarre to leave off Green Day, Elvis and Destiny's (must as I only like GD of these).

Maybe Eminem's language stops him getting on? Just a thought, though Toy Soldiers doesn't sound like one of his more expletive heavy tracks.

I also think it may be about the labels these artists are on; the reason I think this is because NOW 58 and 59 didn't have The 411s 'On My Knees' and 'Dumb' on them.

All filler no killer. Now albums became a nightmare when other record companies disappeared to do their own (Fresh Hits, New Hits, and all that guff). There aren't enough good pop songs around to cover both albums, so it just results in about 10 decent tunes in each one.

Never knew this used to be the tracklist. I noticed they re-arranged it and replaced "On A Good Thing" with "Heartbeatz" and also included "Thru The Glass".
