I'm sorry but this twist seems so set up and last minute what would have happened of Helen got picked to be a power housemate or got picked to be in the alliance I bet this wouldn't have happened

It obviously would have changed because they can't have Helen in any sort of danger can they !

People on here would have gone absolutely berserk that Helen was made PHM based on some dodgy ambiguous poll, there'd have probably been some sort of petition.

Then when BB pulled the twist and Helen was up everyone would have been full of joy and praising the producers for their genius idea.

This is so unfair it wouldn't have happened if Helen was in power .

She's already got the power. She's had it all series.
God help us if she also gets to be phm.

The way things are going, Helen will probably be phm the week before the final
and she'll put all of Chris, Christopher & Ashleigh up - and it'll be a double eviction.

Big Brother is not about fairness, it is about ratings.

Big Brother believe they scored a coup when they put the notorious Helen in the house, and they believe ratings will be higher if Helen goes the distance.

They are almost certainly right.

BB couldn't tell the housemates that Ashleigh was immune!
Best thing they can do is not actually put her up but say she's up for eviction and lead the housmates to think so too.

If helen had the power she'd have been given the option to make one housemate immune till the final, and of course she would have chosen ash..

Helen was option to vote in the app for the power housemate though it seems like they are making up as they go along .

Makes you wonder why (apart from massive vote to evict when she's finally up!)

Makes you wonder if she has some kind of hold over, or information on, someone?

Well that's one way she won't get to be phm. It'll only be if she wins some task or the producers rig it for her.
The public would never vote for her.

And yes, they are making it up as they go along.

I believe that's where you're wrong.
More people aren't watching - because of Helen.

Just remember that most people's identities in the house have formed around their interactions with Helen.

Ashleigh and her teddy would not be half so popular if they weren't Helen's number one enemies lol.

Well, you're not wrong there.
But let's not kid ourselves. If she didn't have the free pass, she'd have been out in week 1 or 2.
Did Pauline get paid well?

I really think they have done some deal with her for ratings with the hope that England would have done well in the World Cup

The producers are probably punishing viewers for never voting Helen as the power housemate. They probably think 'come on, it would be very entertaining, we have so much planned for her week'.

But what would be the point in voting Helen as the power housemate when she's been the actual power housemate since day 1?

Interesting comment.

Out of the original Housemates, in terms of being up for eviction:
Christopher (up four times - Chris PHM, Power Couple, Girl Power, No PHM Week)
Ash (up three times - Chris PHM, Power Couple, Girl Power)
Ashleigh (up two times - No PHM Week, Power Alliance)
Chris (up two times - Power Couple, No PHM week)
Steven (up two times - Chris PHM, Power Alliance)
Winston (up two times - Power Couple, Girl Power)
Mark (up once - Girl Power)

Considering Ashleigh and Chris were both up for eviction during the one week where there wasn't a Power Housemate maybe they're being protected more than anyone (excluding Helen) through these twists, as they've only been up twice to Christopher's four or Ash's three?
