Including my first username I have been on this forum since 2007. Every year when any forum member said the manipulation and favouritism had gone too far by my own admission I was always straight to defend BB. Insisting it is a game show and that people can make their own decisions regardless of what the editing process is (Which they still can). I always insisted not to over react at BB because it was never swung too far in one direction.

Like several on this forum I have watched BB since the original in 2000 and this is the first time I have to say this is complete and utter BS. Im not just talking about Ashleigh facing eviction (Part of the reason but just the tip of the iceberg).

This year has been a constant battle of victimize the same people and treat/give power to the same people.

It has always been the likes of Chris, Ashleigh, Danielle who have been "exposed" by BB as bitching or backstabbing (Which yes at times they have but not in comparison to the likes of Helen & Steven who have not once had their shortcomings played out to the rest of the house )

This causes Helen's team too not only constantly think they are in the right and are vindicated in what they do but can really lay it on thick with the likes of Chris, Ashleigh, Danielle. I won't use the word bullying but with being outnumbered and someone like Helen shouting at you its easy to see why it can just become too much for some people to cope.

If this were to happen once or twice then that's fine especially if its spread out between everyone but when its EVERY WEEK with the same people becoming the ones who have to defend their actions its absolutely F' Ridicilous.

When this happens all the time its like watching cool kids make others feel uncomfertable at school for everything they do.

Its become a common thing for BB to go out of their way to keep people in who they think has storylines and perhaps do follow up shows on Channel 5, but its never been so constant for particular people. I don't know if they want Helen to win so they can say their twist on night 2 was a success or what but for the first time even I (who for whatever reason have always felt the need to defend this show and have the post histoy to prove it) think this has completely skipped past "Reality TV" and onto a Endemol "We decide what's entertainment so deal with it" show.

You combine this with all the false finishes and promises and twists seemingly thrown in without notice or prior warning so they can seem to save one of their favourites is now I have to join in with all the people calling BS on Big Brother. First time ina long time im VERY DISSAPOINTED as a viewer.

Come on BB, ive stuck with this show for 14 years for a reason, don't pull this BS now. You can still save your own show. How can you go from an epic CBB series to........this controlled travesty

Yeah i know im ranting and probably over reacting...right now I don't care

Chris and Ashleigh are currently 1st and 2nd favourites at the bookies.

This latest twist will no doubt bolster their support even further.

BB are indeed manipulating the HMs they're also manipulating the viewers, just not in the way you think.

I agree the level of manipulation on the part of the producers this year is shocking.

I really don't understand why they are giving Helen so much ammunition while leaving the other housemates defenseless, they are constantly being shown up for doing the exact same thing that everybody else in the house is doing.

I'm actually finding it hard to watch at this point, I feel like we're creeping towards a finale where Helen wins or is in someway vindicated by Channel 5 and the truly interesting characters from the series will be kicked out one by one along the way.

List of some of the Interference we've had this series:

- Having EX housemates tell you who to vote.

- Having your parents tell you about other housemates (stevens mum).

- Allowing new Housemates to tell about the outside world and opinions

- Chanting on eviction night. (What actually doesnt represent the publics opinion).

- Pass to the final. So the public cant evict a HM.

- U-turn on Ashleighs immunity

This season of Big Brother is a farce produced by amateurs.

My only hope left is...

They say having the power is pretty much a curse. So, as Helen has in real terms had the power from day 1 that come the final week (if she really does get that far) that she is booted straight out, followed by any of her other lackeys and ends up with the result of 3 decent HMs being the final trio, so the point would have been proved all along right to the final moment that having the power was not a good thing.

They create the story.

They see things unfolding then add things to the mix, they create the victim and the aggressor knowing for the most part from evaluations who's more likely to fit which role.

This makes people vote, so they create more ways to pit these people against one and other.

Just stop voting/watching then they're screwed.

- Having not one but TWO housemates leave without a public vote.

I agree, Ashleigh is more likely the producers favorite.

Favourites have been known to be evicted before.

This is exactly what they do...and we feed them with info they need to make their decisions by the way we react on forums like this

Because she's the villain of the series, they have to keep provoking Helen so she does villainous things to the 'good guys', we then vote to keep the 'good guys' in making them lots of money. In a couple of weeks we then vote for the 'good guys' to win making them even more money. The 'good guys' win the villain loses and we all feel justice has been served.

Worst one for me. I can't believe they threw two housemates out without the public deciding, it defeated the purpose of the show. They are meant to be popular with the housemates to avoid being nominated and popular with the public to avoid being evicted. Danielle wasn't even judged by all her housemates, just two people who knew her for four days.

Nah, look, we've got to treat it like the last one I reckon and make the best of a bad lot.

We allow ourselves to be manipulated.

Without live feeds we rely on the producers' edit. If we take everything they give us without question, we play into their hands. We are not forced to do things like the housemates are forced to do. We have the power of the outsider - but we don't use it.

The power of the outsider is humour
Watch all of this with a huge pile of salt and we can enjoy it more.

I don't think Ashleigh is in any danger at all, this week's edit will see to that.

Ashleigh was in real trouble last week but the producers decided to evict Biannca before the new HMs evicted an original HM, leaving pro Ashleigh Pav and Zoe to evict Danielle instead.

Ive accepted Celebrity Big Brother will outlast Civillian Big Brother. Im not sure its the last regular one ecause they can justify lower ratings with the World Cup and such but this has been extremely dissapointing.

Such a shame because they did pick some good HM's this year just manipulation is threatening to ruin it.

Yeah, I don't think Endemol particularly care who wins. What they want is for the viewers to vote, and engineering this kind of sh*tstorm, while it is a bit underhand, is just the best way of doing it this year. And in fairness, it won't change the outcome on Friday one iota. Steven, as possibly the least controversial HM in the show's history, in that no one's had a good word to say about him all series, even on here, is definitely toast

I keep saying it over and over, they (the producers) only care about their stupid showmances and their chosen few. Chris and Ashleigh don't fit their mould as what a BB winner should be.

They make it up as they go along but Ashleigh is going nowhere
