I don't get this eye candy. I just don't see it. If he was walking down the street, would anyone give him a second look? With his unfashionably long hair, false-looking teeth and monotonous voice, I don't see the attraction. Anyone else feel the same? Hard to believe he's supposed to be a model. It says a lot for photoshopping.

I like that he seems to want to really be there and gets into/gives himself to the tasks. That's about it. Those are great qualities for me but the rest of him sort of overshadows those positives.

It is getting ridiculous now,I actually saw someone say to a FM that they were wasting a thread as if only a certain amount were allowed to be open and to comment in.

He is definitely a good looking man, I think. He is also a fairly laid back kind of guy but he adds nothing to the show in my eyes.

I think the impact of him leaving the house would be HUGE though - how would Helen cope without him? As it is, she is unable to experience Big Brother properly because she never has to worry about being up for eviction, she has been able to nominate in the comfort of the diary room, as well as slag people off without any of it being played back to the other housemates. She doesn't live in constant fear of the power housemate (because ultimately she IS the power housemate) so she does the only thing she can do - she reacts FOR Ash. So when he is up for nomination etc she goes ballistic.

Take Ash away from Helen and I think everything would change. It would shake things up a bit for sure. But that isn't going to happen so we bumble along....

He's had one good moment - when the cork popped out of the wine bottle and he pooped his pants.

I do think there is a decent housemate in there somewhere though. I would have loved to have seen him without Helen in there. But, it is what it is. We got the Ash we got, and he's been pretty horrid.

I am not going to argue that he's a saint, and I realise this may sound a bit odd, but I do think that at least some of the reaction to any negativity he displays gets put in particularly sharp relief because he is a model (same for Ashleigh to an extent).

You can go online and see these guys prettied up, posing and not saying anything and get an impression of them as people created by the products they are promoting and the setting. Then you see them in a rather less attractive situation being much more rounded humans (including not looking groomed all the time and behaving in ways that aren't pretty) and it perhaps jars even more than it otherwise might.
