Love him or hate him . He does seem to see what the outside world has on many occasions . Is it enough to win though ?

I wasn't a fan right at the start but now I like him and I do think he has sussed a lot out BUT has he brought enough to the party to win ? Or could he have a chance of winning simply because others are so contraversial ?

So do I. Chris is the one to listen to not all those experts and biased BBBOTS Emma and selective guests who work for BB's agenda.
For all those who say what does Chris bring to the show the answer is that he keeps some of us watching because he of his brilliant spot on narrations in the Diary Room.

I have only one issue with Chris, I wish he wouldn't simper when he's caught out having an opinion. I know that it's not nice to be so honest to the point of nastiness to people's faces but whether he's in the right or wrong he apologises and looks embarrassed, I wish in this instance he'd grow a pair.

Chris is smug behind people's backs, and a coward to their face.

This is the type of comment lacking on here. Actual some weight behind a comment/opinion
i am all for a comment saying a negative trait or behaviour of chris but at least have something more to add. comments like this are really lacking right now

Chris is smug behind people's backs, and a coward to their face.
Then you have this. Chris haters with 1 single line with a nasty name in & little else. No analysis at all.
Even helen i can say a positive & a negative comment same with every hm others seem very hate hate hate & cant look at anything else.

Anyway a positive thread , makes a change
he only has to fart & to some fm he would be starting a war or something
nearer the final any logic & looking at both sides to a house mate as gone out the window.
it is like a pit of lions now , no fun at all anymore

I like chris, but it's a pity he can't see these things outside of the diary room.

The 'outside world' is not a single entity which has one single thought pattern.

You mean he sees things as you see them.

I love Chris, he is a great bloke but only one housemate deserves to win this BB and that is the lovely Ashleigh. If she goes this week, then Chris to win.

I think he is far more interesting than any of the others, unfortunately he hasn't got the storyline to feature enough in the edit. We have seen his wit and his sharp thinking at work. In a houseful of self absorbed and/or fake characters, he stands out as the genuine one.

We have only seen him angry once in the diary room, over the Danielle business and even then he was fairly calm, so he isn't the type to be in people's faces telling them what he thinks of them. He does the right thing using the diary room, I wouldn't start with them either.

Oh gosh a critique of my posting style.

I'm sorry you think smug and coward are nasty names but he has demonstrated these characteristics again and again. People are entitled to this opinion. Almost every time he speaks in the Diary Room the smugness oozes out of him. Lest we forget the many times in there that he has ripped on people's intelligence. Or how about when he described lovely Christopher as "almost human". Each time he has been caught out on his bitching he corwardly grovels and apologises rather than having the courage of his conviction.

Hopefully this is sufficient analysis for you?

Now that is more like it

In all seriousness though this forum is getting dragged down at the moment - i know it is nearer the final passions are flowing.
But in a general sense i would love dislike of house mates whoever they are to be in a more jokey way. 'creepy chris' isn't a real proper critique of a house mate so to speak.

I wanted Pumpkinhead to win but I went off him because he is conniving and supercilious. I don't like people who sneer at others.

No, IMO - not at all smug, rather observational. I should imagine that his diary room excursions keep him sane !!

I, personally, do not want to see him acting like, 'a fishwife' - screaming obscenities in another HM's face - " Saying it as it is...and..."What you see, is what you get".....type of behaviour.

An intelligent man, he thinks before he speaks !

Everybody, in there, tittle- tattles behind each others backs. A normal reaction to being shut up 24/7 with the same individuals.

Unlike others, he is a non confrontational person. I am sure he has a breaking point, though.

I love Chris but the thing that's going to mess him up is the fact he's hardly shown in the HLs. I think Chris would have benefited from a live feed as you can't edit him out of that really

I disagree with you. He never seems to be smug to me...meaning self satidfied, narrow minded...he always appears slightly anxious but very aware of what's going on around him. What you call cowardice others call good manners. Shouting your truth to other's faces isn't a civilised way of behaving. Chris is polite...well mannered.

Do you not think that there is some middle ground, where Chris could use his intelligence, think before he speaks and confront the other HMs about the issues he has with them? All of the remaining HMs have shown that they can be reasonable during a non-aggressive confrontation and issues have been resolved in this manner in the past.

I don't think confrontation is always necessary. Sometimes it's enough to air ones views to another and see whether you're being paranoid or whatever. You don't have to stir up a stressful encounter with someone in order to resolve strong feelings. this confrontation boast, favoured particularly by Helen, is just a vehicle for badgering and over-riding others opinions. A kind of bullying tbh. It's a case of who's got the loudest voice in arguments with her.

The disappointing thing is that Chris isn't actually that spot on at all - along with his well rehearsed individual character assassinations (Christopher, Winstone & Steven) he speaks in such broad brush sweeping statements.

His diary room rant on Fridays show which had so many of his fans buzzing was just so OTT ... "never seen a group of people" "everyone spent the afternoon discussing it loudly" "they all say they speak to peoples faces ... bollocks ... they've all proved it tonight" "this is a really nasty bunch of people when they want to be"

What is this? Chris versus the world ? - Does he really think Christopher, Ashleigh, Pav, Zoe, Danielle, (I could possibly go on) are a nasty bunch of people? Of course not! But he just likes to set himself above the rest - he is just too judgmental and condemnatory for my taste.

Now, Christopher is worth ten Chris' and I'm very surprised he isn't this years forum favourite - he's got the intelligence people look for - he's got a fun spirit - he's an obvious fan - he's awkward - he's been a bit downtrodden but takes it in his stride - he's got the moral compass - he's not judgemental and he has compassion - he's a good friend.

Let's maybe appreciate Chris for his occasional witticisms but back Christopher for being the full package.

... and there endeth todays lesson!
