For me it boils down to this-

Marlons 'friends' were annoyed, angry and in his face because he did not face the public eviction 'like a man' and like they all professed that they would do if they had the chance to face the vote.

If this is actually true they why were they not consistent in their annoyance at Ash for happily ducking the vote when he had the opportunity to also 'face it like a man'?

Winston didn't rage at and disown Ash as a friend or lecture him whilst pretending to be doing it for honourable reasons for not standing up for eviction.

I don't blame Ash in the slightest for the actual decision, much like I never blamed Marlon. I've always been of the opinion it's all a game show. Always.

The sole problem for me is the total lack of consistency, and Ash being 100% happy to save himself if the opportunity arose, whilst slaughtering Marlon for the very same thing. .

That's all.”

Well said

I agree they were OTT but then he clearly wasn't part of the cool gang or they wouldn't have isolated him like that. One set of rules for them and everyone else do as they say ...or else

That's not the same Ashleigh wasn't nominated and then saved she was a PHM fgs.

Ash could have said thanks but let one of the newbies have a chance. His actions were no different to Marlon.

I dont care either way which hm saves themselves it is a 'one' contestant gameshow after all but I disagree with Ashs reaction to Marlon only to do the very same thing himself.

How old is he?

Chris has said he can't bear the idea of having a proper 9-5 job and he's 33yo.

Lets face it anybody who appears on BB doesn't have the attitude that you get a job, keep it and get on the career path.
Not nowadays.

I have more hope for Winston/Ash/Steven growing up than Chris.

He was more than happy to accept the swap, which is at odds with the "face eviction like a man" attitude he had after the Marlon incident. However, what he did wasn't quite the same as what Marlon did, since he didn't usurp others to grant himself that position.

I think Pav should have been given the swap though. It appeared that he wasn't even considered by others, but I think he deserved it the most (being a newbie and he had a bad reaction last time, whereas Ash got cheers at the last eviction).

Ash is 26, though he looks like he is nearing the time when he will have to pack it in, he's not weathering too well, an actor you can work all your life

He makes the sweating worse by the wearing a black polo neck jumper despite the heat wave.

I know. The difference btw his entry shots and how he looks now is quite startling tbh.

All the fags, booze and rubbish food is taking it's toll.

Comparing this situation to the Marlon scenario is pretty stupid.

If someone claimed it was a like for like scenario that would be pretty stupid I agree.

If someone cannot see the relevance in explaining why there is hypocrisy from Ash and Winston too etc (especially when it's been explained in detail) then that too would be pretty stupid.

He hasn't sweated that badly since he was in the dole office while they tried to find him a job.

I've heard more from Pav and Zoe than him,

He doesn't need a job that the jcp could find him, he's said that he feels very lucky that he's never felt like he's done a days work in his life, to me that just indicates that he loves his work so much it doesn't feel like work, not a disinclination to work.

He's lazed around and done nothing. Riding along on Helen's coat tails. He's terrified of going out and getting a bad reception. When Marlon pushed the button they were all saying he should be a man and face eviction. When it came to one housemate being replaced for eviction Ash didn't be a man and say " I don't mind being up" Zoe said she didn't mind and the "manly" Ash didn't waste any time in saying "are you sure" He is a weasel and no one says anything to him because of Helen where as they all treated Marlon like an outcast at first. Ash isn't a man, he's the sort who if he had been on the Titanic he would be jumping in the lifeboat before women and children to save himself. Weak, lazy, boring individual who relies on his looks to get by. Well I've got news for you Ash, looks don't last forever.
