I 'm not surprised so many people are suspicious of whats going on when even the host of the show isn't being told.

BOTS is recorded in the afternoon, the only live episodes are after the evictions.

Seems a bit odd that she's not been kept in the loop about what's happening but far more odd that she's announcing it on twitter - seems like quite a public dig at the producers.

Maybe Emma is as pissed off with the whole charade as well as most of the viewers.

The nearest station is an "anex" of TFL zone 6 (i.e. it should be outside of Londons travel system but it has been included in the ticket zone) and is a complete pig to get home from late at night... It would be very hard to make a show too late - and of course the studios do not want people around too late either for security etc

Poor Emma. Pretty disrespectful of the producers to leave her out of the loop. Didn't she say that that she hadn't been told about Kimberley leaving for good,and had to find out via Twitter?

She presumably had to make it public because we all sat shouting at the telly when BOTYS was on "this is all irrelevant!!!" BB has already told us who is really up. Infact both the HLs and BOTS became irrelevant by showing the clips before they had been aired!!

I can see Emma leaving by January.

She has the voice, and I'm sure there are plenty of other avenues

Never realised BOTS wasn't live, but did wonder why on the news section we barely see anything past Lunchtime. I normally watch it on +1' trend it off at last ad break

Agree, during the middle of BB when we found out, I wasn't even watching and was searching online what went on and during BOTS when they were talking about Ashleigh's immunity, I was thinking, "Well, she's not immune anymore, is she?"

According to BBspy, even the press release mentioned that Ashleigh was safe.

I feel the same way. When you think ITV wanting to give her a golden handcuffs deal like Ant and Dec. She really is going to refuse that for this show in its current state?
Davina did the wise move and leave when she did this really is Big brother in name only. the biggest mistake the producers did was not enforce the core rules of the show
they axed the feed. they wanted deeply superficial housemates. But when the ratings were bumping along near 1 million its like they totally freaked out.

No way. There were numerous times Davina did interviews and often said "I can't say a thing". Davina, I believe also had a very good relationship with her producers but more importantly her executive producers. The big boss of the show and all 3 from the Channel 4 era gave her a glowing sending off in 2010.

Channel 5 on the other hand. Emma either knows something we don't in terms of non-renewal of contract or she knows Channel 5 will fight tooth and nail to keep her and if she is pissed off a certain Mr. Ben Frow best do some grovelling.

What I should also add is the embarrassment of Emma throwing in the towel, I think Rylan would do the same would be the disaster I would savour.

why would presenters of a tv show, who have other commitments during the day like on ITV's "this morning" be expected to know everything or be kept in the loop 24/7...

some people on this forum have in the recent past weirdly genuinely thought much of the crew had access to a 24/7 stream....

It is clear she sees the shows, and is very well briefed on what has been happening... but she wont be being told all day whats going on... and so no shock, she learnt from social media like the rest of us...

Its disgraceful that the presenters are having to read twitter to see what is happening. I have loved big brother since the start but what are the producers doing to it. Unfortunately I have to agree with others that they are trying to kill it off. How disrespectful are they to Emma, Rylan and the staunch supporters of b.b. Please sell the programme before you do anymore damage.
