After this series, I can't see civilian bb coming back
I've a feeling this is the end of the normal bb.
This series has been so bad and negative and pretty much producer scripted I can't see it coming back. The only way it could happen is if channel 5 lose the contract. Could channel 5 have done this on purpose? Knowing the contract is up for renewal they made a poor series so they could negotiate a much lower contract? I can see the celeb one being bad too, it will work a treat for 5 if it is. They won't have to pay as much if the show isn't a massive success. I hope sky or itv get the show |

Even if it does I can see the viewing figures plummeting. I will see this one out as I have invested my time (and a few phone votes). However, I reallyu do feel for the first time I won't bother next time. Not even the I'll just see who goes in (and end up being sucked in).
For me the Pass to the Final is what has ruined it (whoever had it). It has ruined the process of nominations and not given an accurate reflection of what is going on. |

For me the Pass to the Final is what has ruined it (whoever had it). It has ruined the process of nominations and not given an accurate reflection of what is going on. But the level of producer manipulation, coupled with the desperation from the z-list wannabee housemates has put me off. The "save yourself" twist was, I think, designed to make Ashleigh give herself immunity which backfired when Marlon pressed the button. Marlon was a bellend but I hated his eviction as it went against the whole "you decide" thing. Evicting Danielle based on new housemates was massively unfair, particularly as Kimbot was their initial target. I think Biannca might have been the last straw though - a truly repulsive creature and another massive fail for the producers who must have thought we'd love her constant sex talk and vote to save her above mind numbingly dull Pav. It's just so boring and I'm over it. But, like you, I feel obliged to see this one through (until they rig it for Helen to win!) |

Is this the last contracted series with channel 5? I thought they had two more years.

It will be a shame when BB closes its doors for the very last time........been a part of my summers since day one, and taping it whilst on holiday to catch up later......
......found the forum and had many a laugh on here, sometimes what goes on here is far more interesting than BB itself........so if BB goes I will miss it.......but celebrity BB will carry on I suppose.........life goes on and I will soon find other things to occupy me...... |

I think viewing figures have recovered a little from the very slow start though. If they can negotiate a better price for the contract renewal I think they will keep it, especially as they might not be allowed to just do a CBB.

I'll be sad if it ends. I've been on this forum for 10 years now. I've watched BB2-BB8 (rewatched BB1 at a later date) and have pretty much been an old school big BB fan like many of us here.
I stopped watching during BB9 because I found it to be very contrived and forced and didn't like a lot of the twists. It felt like a different show. I watched Ultimate BB and only started watching it properly again last Summer. After watching this year and last year, I have to laugh that I felt BB9 was contrived. It's pure Big Brother compared to Channel 5. Putting Hazel and Daley in the secret room with no rhyme or reason to it and a lot of the twists this year... oh dear. There are rarely nominations anymore. It's not really Big Brother is it?

I'd love ITV to get it, i bet it would do just as good if not better on something like ITV2.
I bet we would get a few hours of daily BBLive as well. It just needs to leave Channel 5, they don't realize what the show is supposed to be about so let someone else have a crack at it. |

Without "Who goes...You decide" there's no point to the show.
It's not Big Brother anymore... This lot have ruined it. |
