I wasn't a huge fan of Toya but neither do I feel she deserves half the stick she gets on here but that's by the by.
I just thought it was so unfair when her PHM time came suddenly a PHM could be up also. I actually prefer Ashleigh but wonder why people are so much more offended the same has happened to her.
Generally I'm p**d off with a lot of BB's meddling but jus wanted to make the point, I was annoyed when it happened with Toya and equally annoyed now, but wonder why Toyas stitch up is apparently justified

Ashleigh was voted in by the public

I think this time is because Ashleigh was voted by the PUBLIC not housemates like Toya. Both are unjustified and unfair though and I am equally outraged

I am just shocked they did exact same twist again note for note, I am not shocked they are lazy and useless, just shocked they don't even attempt to cover up the fact that they are lazy and useless

We were notified about the power housemate being up in advance in Toya's week, and also Ashleigh was voted as the PHM by the public WITHOUT knowledge there could be a chance she would have been up - so viewers were misled into what they were voting for. It's so ridiculous, this series has turned so bad it was becoming a chore to watch and I was only watching out of loyalty, but I think the addition of this 'twist' has just gone way too far and they don't deserve my loyalty anymore, I don't even care if the show comes back or not next year at this rate.

Ok fair enough, just that from the outset the premise of the PHM implied immunity, but it seems not to be the case depending on who has it, very inconsistent and unfair. Yet they seem hellbent on insuring Helen's immunity is unscathed

That shouldn't make any difference. A power housemate is a power housemate, regardless of how they earned the right to be one.

As far as I recall the only PHM that had immunity from nomination was Pauline in week one.

Its the hypocrisy that is laughable, the same people crying over this are I am quite sure the very same ones desperate for Helen to lose her pass, yet NOT A WORD on Marks £5k!!! I was NOT a supporter of Helens pass OR Mark receiving £5k, they are destroying their own show, a complete farce, with all the meddling, I don't think they should have put Ashleigh up to lose her immunity but on the same token they should have remembered what happened with Toya.

I agree but in all honesty you tend to forget about Marks reward and plus it doesn't impact on the show half as much

In girl power week BB did the nominating and Chris did the nominating in his week, they weren't exactly immune, it was just impossible for them to be nominated.

Only in Pauline's week were the HMs told that the PHM was immune from nomination.

But it amounts to the same thing, Toya and Ashleigh wouldn't have been able to be nominated had BB not stepped in

While that's true, when the public are voting they are obviously going to be more annoyed with any twist and have every right to be more annoyed when it was them who put that person into power rather than something/someone else.

Also, as previously mentioned, Toya/Matthew being up was announced as soon as the twist began their week whereas even *we* were originally told Ashleigh (and other PA members) were immune.

I agree that the separate issue of being told Ashleigh had earned immunity was very misleading, and I can understand people being annoyed by this specifically.

I agree. I didn't warm much to Toya, less than I have towards Helen, but I felt she was a great h/m, and was interested to find out what she was like when the 'front' was put to one side. I thought she came across well in her exit interview, but cringed for her when she was on BOTS.

She left way too soon, as far as I'm concerned.

True, but the thread is asking why there is more uproar from the public about Ashleigh than Toya.
The fact that Ashleigh was voted for by the public, those that have the app and knew there even was a vote, seems a pretty valid reason why some people are more annoyed this time than before.

Maybe because
1) We were told beforehand that either Toya or Matthew would be facing eviction
2) The public voted for Ashleigh as the power housemate thinking that she would be safe
3)They had told Ashleigh and the power alliance they would be immuned the also told us that they were immuned
4 The hosts of the show Emma and Rylan didn't even know about this twist and were shocked to find out Ashleigh was up for eviction

People didn't have to pay to vote on the poll, the poll was very ambiguous, the poll did not state that the PHM would be immune in fact it didn't even state that the winner would become PHM.

Most FMs were completely happy that Ashleigh got the power to put HMs up for eviction based on some dodgy, unpublicised poll. No use crying now.

There's only an uproar if things backfire on forum favourites.

Because Ashliegh's the chosen one and the forums chosen one is of course always the one the producers have a vendetta against . Her fans can make as many excuses as they like but imagine if it'd been Steven instead they'd be saying it was 'finally' a good decision.

The people voting on that dodgy poll on the app didn't even know they were voting for the next power housemate.
It was mentioned NOWHERE until it was suddenly announced Ashleigh was magically the PH.
Ashleigh was 'gifted' the power housemate status by BB when the poll they did came up with the result they wanted (actually did anyone get to see the result?) because she hasn't lived up to the hype of a few weeks ago where she & her disciples were saying she was going to go after Helen..... instead she became pals with Helen (or at least called a truce).
BB gave her the power housemate status in an attempt to try and reignite the beef between her and Helen that Ashleigh lost interest in,,,, just like they kept doing last year whenever it looked like Gina & Hazel were in danger of getting on

So all this 'we voted for her blah blah' nonsense is ridiculous
