Clever girl Ashleigh ...she played a blinder!

I was initially peed off with BB outing the PHMs knowing the main attacks would be toward Ashleigh but having thought about it I think that was Ashleighs plan all along.

She has shown strategic thought process in her approach to the game so far ... so maybe she knew Mark had a spine like a jellyfish and that BB always put a nasty twist on the PHM so if that is indeed the case I think she played them all including BB... as she has become the victim with the majority of the house on her side and the viewers too.

Well done her

she kept her dignity, and that's the only way you can play this random game with rules being pulled out of arseholes at every turn

When they said mark was two faced I did wonder why they picked him. Mark really has shown his true colours

You're giving Ashleigh far too much credit, the brains behind this latest caper were most definitely the BB producers.

You're supposed to be rooting for the 'good guys' Ashleigh and Chris.

You're supposed to be baying for the 'villain' Helen's head on a plate.

You're supposed to be voting at 50p a pop to ensure 'good' triumphs over 'evil'.

I'm sure Chris and Ashleigh will be top 2 in the final and everyone will feel all warm and fuzzy inside about getting one over on Helen and the horrible and unfair BB.

As Johnny Rotten once said "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?".

Hmm......

So she's played the public who genuinely think she is a victim?

I don't think Ashleigh could have predicted being told she was immune and then having the rug yanked from under her. If that bit was conspicuously absent, then yeah. But hearing those words would change my strategy and course of thinking.

I wouldn't trust Mark with anything at all. He's extremely two-faced.

Well said both. I'm genuinely having a chuckle here at the intelligent genius that Ashleigh has become. She just outwits everyone and everything that girl, including the public that voted for her through an app that few even knew existed; who joyfully and ecstatically relished the role; and then somehow knew that the plan would fall apart and Mark would be the fall guy. Genius!

Whilst I don't think she could possibly have forseen the twist that would see her swapped for Ash, I do believe she originally picked Mark for the Power Alliance and then moved for Ash to be nominated so that Mark would be complicit in that decision and would be likely to get a hard time from Helen et al for his "betrayal".

Put simlpy, Helen knows Ashleigh doesn't particularly like Ash or Steven, that is well established. The strategic calculation is that Helen is likely to be more angry at Mark, being one of the "cool kids" for being involved in setting Ash up for eviction and therefore some of the backlash will be taken off Ashleigh and Chris and fall on Mark.

It hurts more to be traduced by a friend than bested by an enemy, so having Mark as part of the Power Alliance is intended to put him squarely in the frame and have his mates turn on him when his involvement is revealed.

Thus far it seems as though Mark has indeed caught quite a bit of flack so it may well have been a clever ploy to set him up as the fall guy all along.

I suppose some can be very devious when they need to be, especially with people they don't like.

That all may well be true, however (and it was done with a bit of tic) was the irony that she is either a victim or a genius in all of this. Seems people can't decide.

This is pretty much what I was thinking last night. If so she is clever as it puts a split in "the other" group.

And when she got Ash evicted...what a genius!

Perhaps they were testing him?
Which would be the ideal way of going about it.

I think she's done the very best with the cards she's been dealt throughout. No evil genius, just coping well because she's intelligent and has a wry approach to life; an interesting quirk of her personality.

It's nonsense to suggest that choosing Mark was an act of strategic brilliance

Ashleigh didn't choose Mark because she had a master game-plan. She chose him because the only other option was Christopher .... and she didn't want Christopher in the alliance

I don't see where people have got the idea that Ashleigh 'likes' Christopher, or that there is some bond of friendship between the two

As far as I have seen Ashleigh is very dismissive of Christopher who seems to get on her nerves as much as he gets on everyone elses ( except Mark, who uses him for his own ends )

She got Ash nominated which was her intention. . She's not responsible for all the voters quirky decisions.
Whether she's a genius I don't know, but the outcome of this weeks twist is that the viewers can now clearly see how much of a hypocrite and a coward Ash is, and just what a snivelling little weasel Mark really is. Jobs a good 'un.

From watching the show? From seeing how they interact and speak with each other?

Face like she was sucking a lemon. I think she played a very bad tactical game. You should know that the producers have ways of screwing with you. Not as bright as she thinks.

Exactly ..a win win for Ashleigh as hms will see her as 'real' competition because once again they got fooled by her. No one guessed she was the phm this time and no one knew about her plan to get Ash nominated last time either.
