Unbelievable!

I'm a bit late catching up here, but if I understand it correctly, BB has replaced Ash with Ashleigh for eviction this week, in spite of her being told she was immune earlier on and revealed that she was the power HM? Am I correct? What on earth is going on with this series of BB, it just seems as if they're sticking their fingers up at the viewers and doing what the hell they like and don't give a damn about what anyone thinks? I know people have been saying this for the last couple of weeks, but it now seems as if there's no denying it. What's the point of getting anyone to vote for anything if they're just going to change the rules and "twist" it to suit their own agenda all the time? If the public had known that the PH would be up for eviction this week, then they would probably have voted for someone else instead of Ashleigh. I saw on another thread someone saying that we should vote for someone we don't like next time, but they'll just change the rules accordingly depending on whether it's one of their favourites or not. It certainly would seem as if they've got it in for Ashleigh by doing this to her and are enjoying seeing her being ostracised by Helen and her group. What do they hope to gain from it?
I'm not even certain we can trust the results of any of the votes anymore. They're obviously desperate to save Steven this week and what's the betting they'll find some way of doing so before Friday and if not, if the votes don't go their way? Well who knows?

I'm almost at the point of giving up totally on this series now. Don't like the way it's gone.

I love the fact they did this

I said as soon as she got the power it would backfire on her and she would end up on the eviction list.

Why anybody would ever vote for a HM they liked as PHM I never know with the exception of Chris everyone who has had the power was out next time they were up and even Chris has faced backlash as they have nominated him every week as they know it was him.

Of course you love this twist as you are one of a handful of posters on here who are extremely anti - Ashleigh. You are one of the first to post nasty threads about her as soon as she breathes out of turn.

Ashleigh was quite aware, I am sure, that it was a potential poison chalice. Her own DR reaction was to ask "Why"?

It's entirely possible some people voted for her thinking she'd end up on the rough end of the deal.

Though I suspect others thought it might render her immune.

Yes I don't like Ashleigh but my point still stands I posted a thread saying it would backfire on her and she would end up on the eviction list I was told I was wrong.

I never want a HM I like to be PHM which is why I was annoyed when Ashleigh picked Chris it always comes back to bite them on the arse

It seems that this series is being manipulated to hell by the producers.

Isn't every series over-manipulated?

I wonder if all Hms would have been treated the same though? The thing with the way it's going this year is that BB decides who and how to reward and to punish and to what extent.

Of course every series is manipulated, but they really are taking things too far with this series.

There isn't one. Anyone who still forks out for this carnival of idiocy must have money to f***ing burn.

Most of those evictions do not have anything to do with being the PHM though. I would say the only one that fits that criteria was Toya, who got put up in the same way as Ashleigh has and had a meltdown in the same week.

But it shows that the PHM is a curse why would anyone want that for their favourite I can't vote but I'd vote for HM I didn't like to get it

It may not been directly the cause but it's hardly been a good luck charm to anyone who has had it

Maybe some of those who vote for PHMs do so precisely because it can be a curse.

"As the power housemate you are immune from nomination"
The unasked question was "Will I be the power housemate until Friday?"
With no guarantee of how long you will be power housemate, immunity means nothing.

Ash was miraculously saved a few weeks back when he was odds on to go, so saving Steven is a walk in the park...

I rarely agree with you, but on this I do. I too said that people should be wary about this as it isn't necessarily a good thing.

However I do take exception to BB making explicit statements and then going back on them by basically lying.
If they tell somebody that they are immune from eviction, then they should be immune from eviction. Because I think it's important for the viewer to know where BB stands without them changing things at the last minute and presenting them to us as 'twists'.
BB can be harsh, but they have to be straight.
And if they are harsh then they are even handed about it.
