Past Big Brother "favourites"

The thread on moments a housemate lost the show, got me thinking of housemates that thought they'd win. Wether it was from the get go or upon hearing the crowds reaction, can anyone else think of any!?

The housemate that stands out to me even now was Kat from BB8, how she ever thought that dumb "cookie" catch phrase and acting like a child would win her the show still boggles my mind!

Freddie/Halfwit got too big for his boots after some good reactions and got booted out.

There are quite a few I think, from BB10

Norin kelly
Marcus Akin
and Fred 'halfwit'

I thought BB10 was cracking especially Angel doing the Child catcher style entrance on launch night

BB5 Stuart, BB3 Alison, BB5 Marco, BB8 Ziggy, BB9 Dale, BB9 Stu, BB9 Bex

I also think quite a few of the winners knew they were going to win from Day 1 notably, Pete, Josie

Housemates were convinced Charlie would win BB10.

Laura BB8

Got massive cheers on the way in.
All the HMs still thought she was popular, right up until her eviction,
where she left wearing her dressing gown... but got massive boos.

This was back in the day when Davina spoke to them from inside the studio so they couldn't hear the crowd reaction.

Maxwell BB6

Got big cheers at the beginning, but it went to his head
and by the time of his eviction he'd become public enemy #1.
The look of shock on his face (and Saskia, Anthony & Craig's) was priceless.

More recently, Wolfy....

Re: OP
Kat was in BB9, not 8
Though it was mainly the other HMs always telling her that she'd win.
Though yeah, even though she denied it, maybe she believed them....? Not sure, tbh.

Pete and Brian D are also givens.

Not so sure I agree with some of the other suggestions above though....

Yes, Saskia, Sophie, Karly, Kris and a few others were constantly telling him so.
He himself thought he was going to win, right up until the end, as though he was entitled.
Heck, even half the forum thought he was going to win, even though ~75% of us couldn't stand him.
Was quite amusing to see him finish 4th...

Don't agree on Kat. If she really thought she'd win I'd doubt she'd have worked so hard to keep her alliance together. She had a steely determination in keeping her friends together and was immediately there to stop any division. Anyone convinced they would win would have just sat back and rode it out.

Kat was over confident that she would win and a nightmare from the start.

I don't agree.
I think she was playing the game to win. She'd do well in BBUS. She was the backbone of B-Block, kept them all together (just about) and made sure one of them won the show.
Without her I wonder what would have happened, Rex and Mo would have probably turned on Rachel without Kat (they did for a brief period).

Pauline, is probably the most recent example.
She was loved by the majority, on launch, just moments after seeing her VT.
Her receiving 49% in a ten-way vote, to get the power, showed how popular she was.

Within a matter of two days, she went from the most popular, to most unpopular.
I remember on Day 2, looking at the Popularity Poll, and she was first, with 42%, then during Day 5, she was 3rd to last, with 2.7%.

I think she is probably the best example of a housemate, going from loved to hated, as her popularity dropped so quick.

Wolfy, last year, is another example.
Although, unlike Pauline, she was favourite for the first two weeks, as opposed to the first two days.

BB8, had quiet a few housemates, who were loved at launch, and turned out to be hated, by the time of their eviction.
One's that come to mind are Laura and Carole.

Victor ... Wasn't he one of the favourites until the fallout with Shell?

Oooooh so did I.......after that creepy Nana bit, that did it for me........had enough of his cheeky chappie image, and the thought of him winning made me cringe......
