There were no tears at all, she turned on the waterworks to get sympathy, both her and Chris were acting and lying and Mark, another snake.
How could she turn on the waterworks if there were no tears?

Well I wouldn't have cared with the point scoring at Helen and Ash so much because they are all as bad as each other at that. But it's the way that Mark, Ashleigh and Chris threw both Zoe and Pav under a bus to save their own skins.

It was COWARDLY.
You do know this is Big Brother don't you? And that people have to nominate other people?

If Ashleigh was fun, mature and dignified I would back her but she is none of them, in a completely different way she is as bad as Helen. Yet her fans loathe Helen but love her.
She's 18. She's got a while to go yet before she's mature. Incidentally I don't "love" anyone in there. I don't actually "loathe" Helen either. I don't actually loathe anyone in there as it's a tv show and I don't really know them although I do come close with Steven.

Ill admit I did hear her sniffle and saying "I said I wouldn't cry" when she had the sunglasses on talking to Ash. It was like she attempted to turn them on but nothing came of it.

An extremely poor attempt at water works no doubt, after all she knows herself it looks pathetic that she keeps nominating Ash. In turn, she tries to make it look better by attempting to cry. Its a basic approach to cover your real feelings, only it looks worse if you cant manage to pull it of - as it was in her case last night.

It's the same 5/6 people all day long. The funniest part of it, for me, is when they call her dull and boring................. yet spend most of their time on here posting about her.......
Most are Christopher fans too and one of them had the cheek to pull me up about the alliance with his fans, yet here they all are having a go at Ashleigh.

She is brilliant and clever at such a young age too, she's intelligent and will go further than any of the rest after this show, this is how it should be played, she was told though she would be immune to being up for eviction so BB are liars too
Really? no sh*t Sherlock1

Ass licker, two faced, liar, bitch, nasty, smug, condescending and up her own backside.
Yes I agree, Helen is all of those and more

I've been saying for weeks that Ash was nowhere as bad as Ashleigh and many on here were making out. A bit of a plonker at times, but most of the time he seemed laid-back and easy enough to get on with. Ashleigh on the other hand seemed terribly black and white in her opinions, and instead of seeing the more rounded picture, fixated on the negatives. At least where the likes of Ash and Winston were concerned.

Well if you take her at face value now, it seems she's suddenly come round to seeing Ash as not being so bad after all. On Tuesday night's HLs both Chris and her were saying they had recently grown to like him. Maybe she's finally showing some signs of growing up (though that could be wishful thinking on my part). Maybe she could learn from this not to be so harsh, judgemental and condemnatory of people, and instead make more of an effort to get to know them and form a more balanced perspective.

However it does make you wonder where it leaves all the people who were praising her for hating Ash, saying she was quite right since he was absolutely horrid and no wonder she was so determined to get him out the house. Well it seems she now feels she was wrong about him.

It also makes you wonder who the heck is left to comprise Chris's 'nastiest bunch of housemates ever' (last Friday night's HLs), given that he now seems to think that Ash is alright. Is it just Helen and Steven? But can 2 people really comprise a 'bunch'?
TBH I've never disliked Ash. He has been a bit of a tool at times but I do think he's a decent guy. And before anyone decides I'm just saying this because Ashleigh has kind of made up with him I actually said this weeks ago. As for Ashleigh's change of heart about him surely there's nothing wrong with that. They barely said two words to each other in the beginning and I think they both disliked each other equally. As time goes on and people go, the house dynamics change and quite often people who didn't get on in the beginning find themselves becoming quite friendly towards the end as they get to know each other better. Not sure if I'm right here or if it's even relevant but they don't really seem to speak much when Helen is around.

Spot on.

Slowly but indeed surely, as is being proven with one current thread, the mask is slipping from Ashleighs fans...

They only like or in this case liked Ashleigh because she was against Helen.
Still blabbing on

The same could be said about the Helen fans only liking Helen because she dislikes Ashleigh. Are there many takers for this?

Anybody!!

I'm just waiting to see if she nominates him again. If she does she is just a blagger.

*raises hand nervously* 'Me miss! me!!

It could be argued that some people who post positively on Helen (not everyone has to be a 'fan' of any of them btw) might be encouraged to do so by the rabid defence, and attack, employed by some Ashleigh fans. I can't say I'm a massive fan of Helen but when it's 99% hate it would be almost rude not to try and add a bit of perspective, no?

Just throwing it out there. Please don't be too harsh to me people- I don't post nasty mean things about Ashleigh, so be gentle with me.

To be fair, most people on here are pretty reasonable. They post their views and allow others to post theirs without accusing them of not knowing their own minds. Sadly there are a few who practically foam at the mouth if anyone dares to disagree with their choice of hm and who don't just dislike particular housemates but seem to hate them with a passion. For the first few weeks this year I didn't really even have a favourite. I liked Kim at first then went off her. I always liked Ashleigh but she wasn't my preferred winner. I think my first preferred winner was Christopher but I have changed my mind and would like Ashleigh to win and Christopher to be second although I wouldn't hate it if it were the other way round. I don't hate Helen. I don't like her either, although there have been times when I have warmed to her a bit but then she has usually said or done something to make me like her less again. As for your point about people defending Helen against some of the nasty things said about her that is probably valid although I don't agree it's only Ashleigh supporters who are doing that. The thing that really winds me up is people putting up a big long post denigrating their object of hate and anyone who dares to support that person but then either ignores or completely dismisses any attempt to respond to or challenge that post. They know who they are (although maybe not in some cases!!! )

I think you and I may have slightly different experiences on this place to be fair.

Again I appreciate your reasonable reply- I can always respect someone who has a different opinion to me, and who doesn't resort to name calling or being personal. Even if they tell me they think I am wrong, it will never be a problem.

I should make it clear I am not anti Ashleigh, or all her supporters at all- I'd have no issue at all if she won. None.

Personally I find it a bit odd how anyone can get so invested in BB that they either love or hate any of them to the extent they seem to do, but for me, that is half the fascination with this place and each to their own. I think I look at the show and the HMs differently from most by the sounds of things. (not saying this is any better or worse btw!)

I have become used to writing posts that have points in that are either dismissed out of hand or ignored by many when you dare to challenge them so I can totally take your points on that too.

Post with peace Janis.

I would not say that I like Helen exactly, though its true to say that I am finding myself trying at least to defend some points regarding her for the simple reason that a lot of people go overboard on their hate of her.I don't know whether all or even most of these people are only Ashleigh supporters though being the forum fav along with Chris its more likely they are.

I see Helen and Ashleigh as pretty similar tbh in their bitchiness and nastiness the only difference being Helen is far more upfront and very vocal whereas Ashleigh does it behind the back and likes one to one bitching best. And of course I do see a warmer side to Helen but not Ashleigh, I think if Helen had never been there Ashleigh would have been pretty much hated tbh, the way she was so pally with people like Toya and Pauline tells me all I need to know about her.

I wonder if you thought the same about Jale when she became pals with those that bullied her, Helen, Ash etc?

BIB is a common occurrence on this board, but then to be fair, maybe some don't see replies because they go off to work or out shopping etc and by the time they get back they either can't remember the name of the thread to check if they got a reply, or it's so far off the front page that they just don't get to it. I know that happens to me a lot, I'll post in the morning, then go to work and will have forgotten about checking for replies by the time I get back lol. Trouble is there are way too many threads to keep up with too. Am trying hard to catch up today as I have a day off, but it's too hot to sit here for too long at one time !

I must admit- work does tend to get in the way of me wasting time posting on the internet. Demanding clients can be so damn inconsiderate as well sometimes!

I do agree there are way too many posts and threads though and I totally lose track myself but it's more those who reply to your posts whilst basically ignoring everything you wrote, I meant.

Enjoy the sunshine- I'm off out to grab a bit of the yellow ball of fire in the sky, myself.

Edit- oh and re the Archers and lemonade- consider it done!
