Never heard any of his songs, but I think he probably will have success. It seems lately that when white people do genres that used to be dominated by black people (R&B, soul, disco, house, hip hop, trap), they blow up easily. I can think of loads of examples just from the past 18 months. This can't just be coincidence.

Unfortunately it can be somewhat of a "thing" to be a "white rapper". Maybe not so much nowadays, but I remember when Eminem's debut single came out it was rather a big deal that he was white.
