It always seemed obvious to me that it was a year too late. It was introduced because people combusted about Freddie being up week after week the year before, so whoever was up with him always went. Only in BB11 the nominations were pretty well all over the place, and all it meant was that Dave (probably) escaped being out first and ended up coming second.

She certainly divided opinion. I never really bought her perma-cheery act. There was the strange case of the girlfriend who went from 'part of the family' to nothing at all that couldn't be chucked out if a handsome, single man came into the house; and there was an incident when for some reason - I forget why - the others suggested that Corin might give up her make-up for the good of the house, and a layer of permafrost formed so rapidly that they backed off in fear and never mentioned it again.
She certainly did divide opinon. I cant remember the make up thing either but love your description lol

I remember some insightful soul on here describing Corin as having 'hairdresser's empathy'. Thought that was the perfect phrase.

Was that one of yours wonkey?

28 seconds in on the video here: http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/tv-news...-eviction-task

It's interesting that the eviction was cancelled that week.
I remember it being the week that Davina couldn't present the show for whatever reason and, ironically, Emma Willis was going to do it. If that live show went ahead, Brian might never have done Channel 5's BB.

Good for Keeley.
what a shocker that a task like that ended up with an injury, it looks like there is absolutely nothing that could go wrong there
The first time I saw that I thought it looked like it had been dreamt up by children.
Mario BB9 would have had a meltdown.
I have to admit that was one of my series highlights from a bloody godawful series. I really didn't understand the fuss that was made of Corin carrying on. Crabeyes had gone all Mitch Buchanan and the last thing she needed was seven or eight of them fighting for Florence Nightingale points.

Corin was very apologetic as she continued to scramble madly.
Well yes, but whom was she competing against...?

The three of them all had a shot at saving themselves to start with. Keeley had no chance in that task once she was injured and maybe she wouldn't have had a shot in any task.

But Rachel had only paused to check on Keeley. So Corin continuing meant the task was no longer 'who can run up a wall' but 'who can run up a wall whilst being least distracted by silly things like someone else's pain', which seems to make it a sort of competition for, I dunno, Genghis Khan points .

LOL I don't think you have to be an actual Munchkin to have feet that size.

My girlfriend has size 3 feet and my sister in law does. Both are a tad shorter than me. I am 5'2" with clod hopping size 4.5 feet.
Too true! LOL
My youngest daughter takes a size 3 and she's 5' 4 and a little bit".

I once knew a girl who was around 5' who had size 7 feet.
Her family kept expecting her to grow.........she didn't! :

Watching the vt again, Corin is saying....it's only a sprain...she's ok (paraphrasing here) She didn't seem at all sympathetic.

Sadly not. It's very good.

She continued to declare that it was only a sprain many times. I think she did realize that she might have looked a wee bit heartless continuing to leap about while Keeley lay in a crumpled heap at her feet.

I didn't know that! Yes, it is ironic in hindsight.

That said, cancelling that eviction was probably the most sensible thing to do. I mean, so much stuff went wrong in one week! Caoimhe got the most nominations, then she walked out so that changed the outcome, plus them deciding to void Keeley's nominations altered things, then they had the Save and Replace task which caused Keeley to break her ankle. On top of that, their host wasn't going to be able to present the live show. Some of went wrong was caused by their own bad production decisions though, so it serves them right if they missed out on money from cancelling the eviction.

For all her flaws, Corin was one of the few things I liked about BB11. She provided most of the funny moments in that series. BB11 ended up as such a mess, especially when the JJJ showmance took over everything.

Best thread in ages - Florence Nightingale and Hairdresser's empathy being particular favourites, though Pitman's flat head quip comes a close third

Her make-was hidden, I can't remember by who (Shabby and Keeva I think), but Josie found it for her. It was a nasty thing to do and Corin was understandably very upset.

That task was plain dangerous. I'm glad she's got her compensation but it took long enough! Thread OP from back then about it:

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1303519

Endemol/C4 are almost certainly financially liable for Keeley's injury and should make substantial compensation in the mid six figure range or face litigation.

Endemol/C4 did not take due care and attention to ensure the health and safety of a person contractually in their care, resulting in their serious injury, furthermore, they were arguably willfully negligent in that a reasonable person could have predicted that an accident was possible or likely in that task.

So why should she receive such a large settlement? This injury will prevent Keeley from pursuing lucrative magazine contracts, which would have been otherwise available. These contracts are typically time-limited for a housemate leaving the BB house, so the settlement should reflect the likelihood that such contracts will no longer be available once she is fully recovered, and included in which should be an estimate of the total amount of earnings had she left uninjured.

Additionally, there is the standard compensation for an injury such as this acquired in the legal care and at fault of another party.

The only way Endemol/C4 can avoid this is by offering Keeley just the standard injury compensation and requiring her to accept this, in writing, as full and final settlement as part of an agreement to re-insert her into the BB house. This is what they are trying to do and this would be very unwise of Keeley to accept this. The only terms on which Keeley should re-enter the BB house is a very large settlement in the event of her leaving the house while still recovering from her injury.

I hope she is receiving good advice on this matter from a lawyer employed by her.
