zoe - "steven wanted to save me" : she isn't thinking

Zoe was over the moon that when the "nominated" had to "save one" and switch with a powerhousemate that steven was being nice...

No he wasn't luv... he was thinking about the risk of leaving, and by removing her (who no one would have voted for) there was a chance of getting another "more likely to attract votes" person into the group of those standing... he was trying to change it from a 1/3 to a 1/4 bet (obviously not allowing for the popularity stakes)

that was another very odd move by Steven, why didn't he want to save Ash? seeing how they are mates and from the beginning? I didnt work out the voting logistics, but I sure picked up Steven creeping up Zoe's bum as she is a more " important" "famous" person to show you are in with than Ash.

Because Steven thinks he stands a chance against Ash, who's also had the angry chants and been in the bottom two. If you don't want to be evicted, you don't want to be up against happy, popular people with fan bases, like Zoe.

He probably also thinks making himself a sacrificial lamb will curry him favour.

He's so transparent.

That said, I don't think he's as bothered about going now Kim is out, in a world with Sasha in it.

She really seems to have a crush on him, the fool.

Steven does what is best for Steven, of course he didn't want to be up against Pollyanna, the innocent little sweetheart from Pop Idol, West End star etc.

Steven v ash v pav v ashliegh was a far better idea for steven than removing one of the other 3 for zoe...

Steven is desperate to win. hence the shag, hence the diary room "steven you are not going to cry, not again" rubbish and the shaving of his head and face mask stuff..

He was definitely trying to increase his chances of staying, with both decisions. I'm not condemning him for that. He thought he had a better chance against Ash (probably true), and thought he had a better chance against Ashleigh (again, probably true) for the replacement nominee.

Regardless, I think he'll be deservedly evicted against anyone in there.

I think he was actually thinking it looked better to save the the female, you know Women and Children first, that sort of thing. TBH it would have been the manly thing to do.

I totally agree with the OP.

Steven is being clever and 'playing' the game. That being said, he is driving me insane and I can't bear to watch him anymore, so I'll be very happy to see the back of him tomorrow.

the other 2 that played "viewer cards" were ashleigh and chris who both realised it was best to be seen as "up for the cost of power and saying they would happily swop with the nominated" - mark however was not able to play that game as he was third to say something...

his ability to "cover all bases, agree with everyone, even contradictory positions as long as he can keep the conversations in separate concern groups was lost as it was him, in the middle of all of them... he had no answers, no ability to look good, absolutely nothing to spin his way other than to bleat "it was them, i never wanted to do it" rubbish...

it is funny how much they all "blame the game" yet all "play the game" at the same time...

after so many years, we have some very professional players as housemates.

The guy is an absolute bellend but I don't think there's anything wrong with thinking about the best possible outcome for yourself. It's a game. Zoe looked like the least likely to be evicted out of the four of them as all of the others have had boos, so it was quite sensible. He was also very quick to suggest Ashleigh as replacement, which also makes sense given the booing.

Sadly for Steven he has no hope of surviving. And I do hope that when Emma announces his eviction, she gives him 2 seconds to leave the house instead of the usual 30.
