Who was on the phone to her? She answers it and says, "One minute," like she is a head of a corporation sat on the sofa, rolling eyes with that monotone voice of hers. If I was on the other end of the phone I would have hung up. It still boggles my brain why this child is still in the soap, and now we will have to suffer her with Tim and Sally, when really Tim has grown on me, put him back with that kid and he will lose his flavour again.

Come on Faye is a 12 year old kid with her head in the clouds. What I want to know is if the Windbags were expecting the Bailiffs to call why Owen disappeared off and didnt bother to answer his mobile, and Gary went off on that stupid wild goose chase to buy beans leaving a kid in the house?????? Cannot get any sympathy for this motley crew - they were always boozing it up in the Rovers and pleading poverty. Should cart em all off to Debtors Prison and give us a rest from their ugly mugs.

Only somebody really 'groce' would call Faye dense.

Gary needs a good kick up the backside too, one minute they're pleading extreme poverty and nicking Steph's grub, the next he's purposely dropping expensive tins of Dev's 'Happy Shopper' beans on the road and wilfully leaving them there.

He was expecting the Bailiffs, he even warned pretty Faye not to answer the door - so why was seeing them shock enough to make him drop the beans, eh??
It just doesn't add up for me I'm afraid, that wasteful family of thieves, cry-babies and hotel sluts deserve to go hungry if that's their dreadful attitude.

Bailiffs can't enter the home if only children or vulnerable people are present, this is a fact, check the law on bailiffs, but I suppose Corrie will wriggle out of this major storyline fault by saying that Gary came back, it is against the law of the bailiff to go in the house without an adult letting them inside, this is what i mean, the kid don't look 11 or whatever she is meant to be, which is why the Windasses are in strife

I'm getting fed up with this story line. Bring back Phelan. He's got them all by the short and curlies.

I read somewhere that if bailiffs don't have a certain code in their paperwork they are breaking the law. Not a lot of people know that.

It was a real pleasure to see those Bailiffs enjoying their job so much.
Pretty rare in this day and age to see folk loving what they do to earn a crust.
Most of us despise our jobs, and absolutely loathe going in to work each day.

Not those two though, they were excellent employees.
The way they scoffed, sneered, and taunted the hapless Windass clan, it's clear they revel in their daily business, thoroughly enjoying the seizing of kids' laptops, grandma heirloom necklaces and unpaid for white vans.

They were a real breath of fresh air.
The bailiff company must be extremely proud of them I'd have thought.
Makes me proud to be British, must admit.

More pertinently, this particular Batman and Robin were NOT bailiffs. They identified themselves as being from a Debt Recovery company, which gives them zero legal rights to take your stuff, invited in or otherwise.

Debt Collectors are employed by the people you owe money to and have no rights.
Bailiffs are employed by the Courts and do have rights, depending who they are collecting money for. Eg if they have a Court Order obtained on behalf of the Inland Revenue or your Mortgage company, then they can force entry.

But even if these guys had been actual Bailiffs, Owen would have known all about the Court Order long before they showed up anyway.

I could go on all day, but what's the point? The stupid 15 year-old writers just do whatever they like.

Glad she lost her lappy, when the bailiffs are due, you don't open the door. Keep on knocking, the paint lasts longer than the skin.

Faymien is as thick as pig shit.

Another point is that the individuals failed to even identify themselves to Faye before she admitted them to the house. They claimed to Gary that they "were invited in" as a justification but the fact that they failed to identify themselves automatically means they were trespassing.

It was clear from her first appearance that she couldn't act, so why is she still there? Most of her appearances have consisted of lolling on the sofa suliking, and walking up the stairs. Please come back Eddie Windass and get rid of her.

BIB Or the workhouse. I'm sure Corrie could find a way to have a workhouse in Weaherfield. After Anna's post-Phelan trauma she should be put in Wethy Bedlam. Faye should be sent up chimneys, Gary should be sold for medical research and Owen who is to blame for all of this should be transported to Australia.

As seen so often, Corrie doesn't recognise the law or anyone's rights (this SL and Carla/boss at the factory) so nothing here seems too unreasonable.

Some people still think they actually have the right to break in to your home.
it's important that people know their rights when it comes to Bailiff's, so hopefully CS will ram some points home on this matter.

This. It was very contrived even for that stupid family.

Not only were they not bailiffs, at the moment the householder isn't Owen, it's Anna. Owen is merely a lodger, and I'd imagine even real bailiffs, complete with a court order stemming from a court-proven debt, would be limited to the goods in Owen's room - and then only goods they could prove were his.

That's a very good point. Owen is not even married to Anna and is not the father of her children, and only Anna has legal custody of Faye.

The house belongs to Owen; he was renting it to Anna and then he moved in with her. I think he put the house up as collateral to the bank for the £80,000 he borrowed from the bank to give to Phelan. I didn't get the impression that it was the bank that sent the bailiffs, they are going to make Owen bankrupt because of the £80,000 he owes them. The £5000 the bailiffs came for must be household debts.

The case for 'Dense Faye' is strong:

- She does the exact opposite of what she was told, and opens the door. Admittedly she was confused by even denser Gary who told her to open the door to the delivery man but not anyone else. It might have helped if he'd explained the consequences of Letting the Wrong One In. But she was on her phone not caring anyway. And he shouldn't have gone out for her beanz in the first place. Oh that Windyass pride, always their downfall.

- She shrieks and wails like a banshee, drawing the neighbours' attention to the thing the family have been trying to keep quiet.

- She snarls and kicks out at the poor lady bailiff/collector/whatever, like this is a good idea.

It's us I feel sorry for. We're in for an avalanche of 'loves' from Owen and a 'this famleh stays together' from tight-lipped Anna.

On the plus side, I thought Faye was looking very pretty on Wednesday.

Because her cousin is the star lesbian character in the show, Keep the younger one to keep the older one from leaving maybe? Acting in that family is not a speciality is it?
