Falling in love 'so soon'..
Aimee
24-07-2014
It's easy, I did it.

My husband proposed to me on our first date. we got officially engaged 3 weeks later and married 19 months after that.

It does happen and under much less intense circumstances than the BB house where people are together all day every day and therefore know each other much MUCH better.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm sure it has.

A lot of people say it's not possible to fall in love 'so soon' ... but is it ... and that's why I believe in Steven and Kimberley's speedy romance, because ... it happened to me...

Nice post OP I meet my girlfriend back in 1997 when we were 12 and believe it or not it was love at first sight we are still going strong 17 years later so it does happen, also i getting really annoyed when people meet in BB and its always got to be fake or a showmance ,you can meet someone anywhere, anytime, anyplace

But he told her to spread her legs, then gave her a 20 second bang,at one point i thought he was going to ask her to say thank you, then as soon as she was out the door he wanted a threesome...How can you fall in love with that.

I do believe that it can happen but I do not believe that it has happened with Steven and Kim.

I am not only saying that because they are both looking for mag deals and publicity but because I did not feel that they genuinely have feelings for each other.

They both knew that having sex in the house would get them noticed in the media. I think Kim was very happy when she heard that she had broken the BB record.

No embarrassment from either of them. They want the notoriety.

I think they will try and make as much money from this as they can in the next month or so.

I would like to be wrong but I seriously doubt I am.

Yeah, my wife & I were engaged after 4 weeks, told families after 12 weeks and were married a year to the day after "official" engagement…that was 11 years (& 2 children) ago.

That said, I'm not entirely sure I believe in *their* relationship-Kim seems too much like a bunny in the headlights but I suppose this could be because of previous experience rather than repulsion at Steven…but I don't think so. Then again, I didn't think Grace and Mikey were genuine in BB7, and look what happened there.

Yeah, you can tell that by the way that Kimberly's been on a cross-country promotion tour since leaving the house.

As for the OPs question, and a serious answer. Absolutely it happens. And I do think it happens on these shows. What tends to be the problem more often than not is, it just doesn't translate to every-day life. It's like a holiday romance. Sometimes they can survive the obstacles to its continuing, and sometimes they just can't.

However, there are also instances where it's totally put on for the camera and future publicity (in the case of the UK) or when it's to advance themselves in the game (in the case of the US).

It definitely does happen What bothers me is that Kimberly is still talking about " falling for " Steve ( on bbots )which to me is quite a lengthy time to be falling for someone.

I agree, nice post OP.

All I would say is, do we believe that an appearance obsessed Playboy Bunny and a self obsessed businessman would fall in love with anyone other than themselves on a daily basis?

And you can tell by the way Kimberley would turn her cheek when Steven tried to kiss her a lot of the times. Also, by the way Kimberley would give Steven back quick little pecks with her lips together----ah, yes----young love. NOT

This might well be the definitive comment on the subject

He proposed on your first date? How does that happen? surely you had something before that? Like you've known each other awhile, talked and decided to go on a date and he thought wow, I wanna spend the rest of my life with this person.

You're abit vague, FIRST date...surely not.

You can't know if you have anything in common in such a short time so it is lucky if you do end up being compatible after the initial attraction. I would have to know things like are they good with money, how they act in different situations etc
