More like she got sick of Christopher for not just agreeing with everything she said. This was enough for her to go to the power alliance to tell them to keep Christopher in the dark.

I was disappointed in Chris, Ashleigh and Mark last night in agreeing with Helen to keep Christopher in the dark. I thought they liked Christopher.

I think Helen is being very sly here, Steven told Christopher a lie that the choice was between the two of them, it never was. With Helen telling them not to mention anything to Christopher she's leaving him to think that Ashleigh & Chris were going to nominate him. Is she trying to manipulate Christopher into thinking that Ashleigh & Chris are turning against him in the hope that he'll in turn nominate them?

or do I read too many thrillers

I read to many thrillers as well. I agree with your theory. But I am going to add that Christopher the Detective will see through there dastardly lies and vote for Ash will serve them right. Then Christopher ends being voted the BB winner...

Helen was desperately trying to keep control for her own ends.

She had grilled mark with a mix of aggression and tears and when Christopher asked questions, she determines he cannot know the answers

She's a pitiful damaged girl, I'm sorry for her but she is absolutely horrible.

I'm not sure he knows that Helen is behind it, mark is pretending he's not telling him to protect him, it's weird that they are also not telling him what was said about himself which was all positive
