Does anyone know what this top-up bonus is when topping up on 4GEE? It says "Top-up Bonus: Your FREE £10 Top-up Bonus has been added to your account. Use it in the next 14 days to call or send texts to a UK number or use the internet." There's no mention of it when I log into my account. Does anyone know more about this and do add-ons use the bonus? I tested it by sending a text to my other phone and it doesn't seem to have charged me so it must had used the bonus. Is it possible to check my bonus balance?

Am I one of the only ones who has got this bonus? I have just bought a £3 data add-on and it came out of my main credit so they are lying saying that I can use it for the internet. It's for calls and texts only and add-ons don't use it.

Got a message on the 31st July saying it's expired when I only got it on the 24th. That's yet another lie from EE. They said 14 days and that was only 7 it lasted for. What's on earth is going on?? Did anyone else get this top-up bonus?

I'm the same, got the bonus the other day. Got the £10 bonus the other day, bought data yesterday and it took it off my balance.

I got the £10 topup bonus on the 24th July. It expired Friday.. which was the 1st August.

That's not 14 days.

The text I got said 14 days. The warning came a bit before (Wednesday) but in all that time, I never had an additional £10 on the account balance!

I assumed it was just a mistake. In fact, I still think it was, but goodness knows how it can still not count 14 days.

But assuming I really did have that bonus, I'd have used it to buy more data (assuming I could buy an add-on with it) so I'm a bit annoyed.

But EE's been all over the place in the last week. Pitiful data speeds (under 2Mbps on 4G when it might ordinarily be over 70Mbps!), announcing areas that have had 4G for well over a year, telling people they had 0MB left when they might have had gigabytes of data left etc.

Speed wise I got 63Mbps in my local B&Q car park on the weekend, which is a first for this area (normally around 20 max). The usage left issue I hope I've not fallen into.

Spoke to EE and it was all a mistake. The texts were for a promotion idea that never happened, and nobody was supposed to have been texted at all!

Apparently only around 1,000 people got the text. No idea if that's true or not, but I am sure EE wants to play down the problem.
