Okay, thank you for your responses, I think we've discussed the idea and established issues enough.

I'd now like to put more emphasis on you as candidates. Focusing on this task solely and ignoring others for the time being, can you please all tell me why you shouldn't be fired based on this task and who you feel deserves to be fired instead?

I had pushed for a Hollywood thriller film industry because I could see this fast-paced film performing well. Even when we had the argument I was still trying to make the film fit into the target genre and film industry.

As for the failure of the task if it is the film industry, then I would have to say it would be George, if it is the plot as a drama then it has to be Shadi (as I never got the synopsis until today when I had made it clear I was away). I only had the initial synopsis to work with and I have learned from that that Shadi changed certain aspects of the plot such as the bit regarding the multiple surgeries in prison Nina had to go through. I had already said that day that the fire scene, prison inmates being manipulated to kill Annette and other ideas were too fictional for a realistic British drama. I really tried my best here and I know both of them did too - they both tried their hardest for this task and really enjoyed the idea but they were equally as stubborn about it too I felt.

I had come up with an initial sci-fi film idea which was a kid gets adopted by aliens, grows up with them, the alien race conquers the galaxy, the kid's ship has an accident, he comes back to Earth, meets his real parents and his childhood friend, then they start a great romance, he changes to the side of good, then goes against his adoptive father who is actually the prime minister of this galaxy conquesting faction. It was initial template so it was meant to have ideas added and removed but I feel that my idea was removed so quickly without any consideration really.

For me, it's a combination of both. While I don't think the ridiculously unrealistic plot (beyond reasonable suspension of disbelief) would work in any industry, it would have worked better in others.

I feel I should definitely not be fired because I had a steady stream of ideas, I did all my target sections by myself essentially as well as helping George with casting ideas, Shadi with his plot and George with the desing. I tried to make this task work as best as I could and I voiced the problems with this idea the loudest and clearly assertively (being the person I am) which were shared by viewers and you both alike. Not only that but I actually came up with many ideas to make it work at the same time as I touched on earlier - the bits of Annette's hidden emotion on the inside with a bubbly outlook on life on the outside, the fact that she is abused by her husband - touching on issues of domesticated violence and sexual abuse; the fact she has difficulty conceiving - an issue faced by 1 in 6 couples as I was reading about on the BMJ then and the husband's addiction to alcohol. Natalie one of the viewers had even said how such issues were easy to identify with and she liked that first bit of the story which I had a hand in.

Also my main weakness last task were the pricing and advertising bits, and I feel as Amy and Natalie have clearly pointed out that the advertising and budget fronts were tight and good which I was responsible for and had done a lot of research into. So I have improved and I am continuing to improve on my weaknesses. I have also been a major player across all previous three tasks - highlighted as one of the strongest, if not the strongest in many cases. I leave my overall task performances on hold for now as you would only like to hear about this task.

Thus, not only that but in this task as well when Shadi was having a bad day I was the first one to help him through it. Even when we had the argument I was the first one to offer an apology and have a peaceful resolution. In this task especially I think I showed what a great team player I can be and how much I help my team mates with their ideas as well as having an enjoyable and constructive time in this process.

I do feel that the target industry and target film genre were the most accountable for and I was the only one against it really but I did try to make it work again. I suppose the person who tried to make it as realistic as possible besides me was George. I think Shadi was being the one pushing for the drama genre as well as trying to make Annette's character as unfathomably hateful as possible as he himself said. I also requested that Shadi make the plot as realistic as possible but I do not think he wanted to listen on that front. He also posted the synopsis to George only a few hours ago making it impossible for me to add any more changes on the British social realism front. I am afraid to say therefore that Shadi should be fired for this task alone - but I do think he is very capable and very creative but the fault lies with him in where we lost which was the plot being British drama based.

I should not be fired on this task because I feel that I have done more than enough to stay, and I still have loads more to show you. On this task, admittedly I did push the UK film industry, but I think I had good reasons for that and going for it was not my decision. I wasn't even that involved in the decision to go with Shadi's idea - he suggested it, I liked it but immediately had to go out and when I got back everyone was working with it. Since then, I have done literally everything I physically could to make this work. I feel like I held the team together quite well when Zak wasn't there, when Shadi and Roxie had an utterly pointless argument about whether the conversation we had been having had been important (ironically, that discussion was not relevant) I got the conversation back on track. I worked hard with both Shadi and Roxie to make sure that the poster was done in the best way it could be, the characters and storyline were developed and everyone knew what they were doing. I also cast all of the roles myself, and the casting has not been criticised at all. During the pitch, I delivered the entire thing myself, and answered all of the questions (Shadi added something to something I said, but aside from that I had to field all of the questions single-handedly). I think that on all the tasks, I have been a very fair person, I've worked well with everyone, I have rarely had arguments with anyone and on the last two tasks I have received very positive feedback.

I don't actually think that any of us deserve to go, so if someone has to it would really depend on who has been generally stronger more than it would on who messed up. I think that if it's on this task, Shadi should go as it was his idea that we went with which was criticised a bit. If it's on the whole process, Roxie should as Shadi has been so strong up until this point.

However, I must stress that I think that it is an absolute travesty if any of us go. The three of us have performed exceptionally, if I may say so. You yourself said that it was admirable that despite our lack of a Project Manager we managed to produce something that was this good. We all worked fantastically, and as I said in my evaluation I think that each of the three of us are stronger than at least three people on the other team. It would not be unreasonable to think that we could be the final three left in this process. I think that if Zak had not resigned, none of us would even be worried about our place here, and I think it would be a terrible thing if one of us went on a technicality. This game is supposed to replicate the actual Apprentice programme. On the show, there has only been one occasion when someone on the losing team resigned before the firing - that was in Series 1 with Adele, and on that occasion the firing was cancelled, and it was heavily implied that Adele would have been fired anyway. Tim Campbell, the eventual winner, had been the PM for that task, and if the firing had gone ahead after Adele had quit, he may have been fired on a technicality in much the same way, therefore meaning that the eventual winner missed out for no good reason. If this game is supposed to replicate the actual show, no one should be fired this week as that is what happened on the only occasion that a situation like this happened for real. If any one of us goes, when there are still people in the contest like Stacey, who has done practically nothing, I think that this is grossly unfair.

If I were to base this on task, I would've fired Zak, who is already gone. So if I can plead to not fire anyone else, because of how hard all 3 of us work to deliver a good product. And we really enjoyed working together, and we got to know each other on personal basis which was great.

But if you insist on another firing, it breaks my heart to say this, but I would go with George. This really hurts me because I like George a lot and we have grown to become good friends throughout this task. He is one of the most hardworking people I've met and a very genuine person. But, he did push hard for the british industry, and in the absence of a PM, who wasn't very active from the start of the task, George could not have been overruled. He pushed for the British industry and tried to really make it fit, but that was what ultimately lost us the task. And there's the poster issue as well, which isn't major compared to the industry problem, but it's still a thing.

As for why I should stay, I have been the star of my team for 3 tasks on a row. I gave my all everytime despite being pressured with university. I never once refused to do a job and had taken it upon myself to do things that I wasn't assigned to do, just tohelp out. I think I have provided high quality work and was the creative force behind every task that needed us to be creative. And if under all that pressure, I was being to perform excellently, can you imagine how much more I can give now that university ends tomorrow? I have never been PM either and I haven't showed you how well I'd lead, and I want to have the opportunity to do that. And as for this task, if I were to focus on this task only, I had provided a solid screenplay and had more to provide. I wanted to carry out the casting and had American actors and directors that I had suggested but I was overruled, and I feel that nothing that I did lost us the task as the idea was great in itself, but not fitting to the industry that George chose.

I appreciate what you're saying, but it is my decision at the end of the day what happens as a result of a resignation. This game is supposed to replicate The Apprentice as closely as possible, but obvious differences have to be made considering natural differences that occur from it being a computer game as well as other factors.

I'll make my first decision now...

Roxie, I think it's clear that you can't be attributed for the failure of this task, and you were perhaps the only person to actually realise the potential faults of your idea. I'm also impressed with the amount of work you put into this task and dedication you have shown to this process in general.

Roxie, you are not in danger of being fired and may leave the boardroom.

As for you two, I'd like to keep you in a bit longer before I make a final decision. You are clearly two very dedicated candidates and if I am to fire one of you it will certainly be a tough decision, so can you please tell me what makes you stand out in regards to the other candidate, and why they deserve to be fired over you? You may use proof from earlier tasks in your defence.

One thing: I did post the synopsis in detail on day 1. It was just as lengthy but less flashier and narrative. ButI told you the whole story on night 1.

You know, George and I talked about how awesome it'd be if we both make final 2, little did we know that we'd face off in the 4th task and one of us would go. I have to stay, I was new to this game, haven't really played it before on here inthis format, but I have given a 110% from day 1. On the first ask, I was George's biggest aid and did so much in all areas and established myself as a serious contender. On task 2, I had found half the items that we were supposed tofind, and it was my flight that won us the task. Last task, I was the creative force behind our idea and I also took on the commercial which wasn't delegated to me. And this task, I had also provided a great screenplay which would've 100% worked in hollywood. I mean, movies are getting crazier by the time and this would've been a very intriguing plot. I hadn't been PM yet and I want to show you that I am just as good of a leader as I am a team player. I had also messaged you about a week or so ago informing you that this week will be hectic for me, but I didn't request a time off. I still have to review 7 chapters in less than 8 hours. And I'm here. I make no excuses. I show up, and I do the job and I do it well. I have so much potential and I'm only just getting started. I hope that you can see that I have been such a strong player thus far that I shouldn't be fired this task over a task that I didn't actually cause the loss of. If someone starts firing people with ideas, that just shuts down the creative process. And I am someone whose brain is always turning and whenever I have an idea I'm passionate about, I share it. And if you keep, I promise that you would be doing the right choice and I will not disappoint.

'Honestly, this task was a bit of a disaster for you from start to finish. It started on Friday when I silently questioned your methods of delegation, concentrating entirely on the menu for 2 whole days as opposed to delegating people to work on the pitch or details on the promotional methods and launch party. The final straw, to be honest, was earlier during the posting because it was actually quite comical to watch!! You were saved this week by being so dedicated to the process and that amount of effort and work you put in, but I think you realise you need to step it up if you are to make it as far as you did last year.'

This was the feedback that I received from David in Week 1, and I think it's a good place to start. In Week 1, I was PM and we lost. I worked incredibly hard to make us win, but we lost and I'd made some of the wrong decisions. If I'd been fired on that task, I'd have been really disappointed but I would not have blamed anyone because I was at fault. Since then, I have taken David's advice and I have stepped it up. In every single task, I have held the team together, even when I have not been Project Manager. This has been the first task I have lost since then, and not by coincidence either. I have never hidden back, I have always come to the forefront, I have contributed ideas, I have worked to find things on the second task, I produced a really good advert last week, and I worked bloody hard this week as well. Being fired in Week 1 would have been awful, but I'd have got over it and I would have appreciated that it was my own fault. I have taken the feedback I was given on that task on board, and I feel I have successfully turned it around for myself. I have had positive feedback from advisors every single week since then, and whenever I have been on a winning team I have been a key reason for the success. I said in my introduction that I object to 'there is no I in team' - there is always an I in team. I don't want to simply be part of the group that wins, I want to be the reason that we win, and I think that often I have been. If I was fired on this task, having taken on board all the feedback I was given in order to turn it around for myself, I think that that would be an incredibly unfair and confusing message to send. What is the point of failing and taking on feedback for improvement if listening to that is to your detriment in the long run? Maybe I'd have done better to keep quiet and not contribute like Stacey has done (and I actually think other people in this process have done, mentioning no names) but that's just not me. I will work bloody hard, I always have worked bloody hard and will continue to do so in every single task.

As for why Shadi should be fired over me - well, Shadi is certainly a force to be reckoned with, but there is something that I have over him. He's someone whom I have got on with very well in the group, and I feel quite bad about doing this at this stage, but I have to be honest. Whilst he is a strong character, Shadi has a problem keeping his emotions in check. I have worked with him on three out of four tasks, and on each one he has got into an argument with someone and I have had to calm him down. On Task 1 he was angry with me because he thought I was sidelining him, and I had to take him to one side and explain that there was nothing personal going on. On Task 2 he had a huge bust-up with Louise - I did actually agree with Shadi's point, but he overdid it on the task. I think he should have stayed more professional, and I had to open a private chat with him and say, 'Listen, I agree with you, but this is not the way to deal with it, wait until afterwards.' On this task, he and Roxie had a huge argument on the first night about whether or not what Roxie and I had been discussing had been relevant. It was very hard to get either of them to let it go, and I was the one that actually moved the conversation on to something more important. Shadi is a very strong performer - admittedly stronger than me in certain aspects - but I feel that he has issues controlling his emotions, which can harm team morale. I, on the other hand, am also a strong performer, but in addition to that I am able to keep my emotions in check. I am the diplomat in a team, I can calm arguments down. Shadi can't do that, in fact he exacerbates them. I feel that Shadi lets the pressure of the tasks get to him, and that causes stress which is a major flaw in business. You need to be able to keep control of your emotions and remain level-headed - I can do that, Shadi apparently can't.

Shadi, I do think some responsibility for the failure of the task has to go down to you for the basic plot idea. I do appreciate that there weren't many alternative ideas, but I do think this brings up an issue that you are perhaps a bit too forthcoming with ideas at times and focus too much on getting your idea used regardless of whether it's best for the task, and as previously said considering how personal the idea was to you it might have been wise to have gone with a different idea. That said, you are clearly a very strong candidate and it has been said countless times by viewers and advisors alike.

George, whilst you have certainly been solid and consistent, I don't feel like you've surpassed Shadi as a candidate in terms of strength. That said, you are clearly very capable and dedicated and I think we could potentially see you get stronger if you stay on. Some of the responsibility for the loss of the task has to come down to you due to the choice of the British film industry - but the question is, which was morre responsible for the failure, the idea or the choice of industry?

All in all, I have made a decision...

You know what, actually forget it. Fire me if you have to. What I said about me being in control of my emotions than Shadi is true, but generally he is stronger than me and I think he wants this more than I do. I really, really want to stay, but if I stay and Shadi goes because of what I just said, I would feel really, really guilty and that would heavily impact on the rest of my time in this game. I have realised that my personal relationships with people here are more important to me than this, which I suppose means that I'm not as ruthless as I thought I am, but there you are. I want to stay so much, and I really don't think I deserve to go, but if one of us has to go I suppose it has to be me.

...and that decision is I'm not firing either of you.

The main reason for this is, had Zak not quit, he would have no doubt been the one fired in this position. I therefore feel it would be unfair to fire either of you in this position, you are both strong candidate who no way deserve to be fired. The loss of a PM midway would have certainly been an inconvenience for you, and I don't want to rub salt in the wound further by firing one of you when you would have all been safe had Zak not quit.

I will say that, whilst we wish Zak well and hope everything's okay with him, we were disappointed with the way he went about his quitting. He did tell me he wanted to leave a few hours prior to posting it and I asked him to wait until the end of the task, he chose to ignore this for some reason and continued to post it in the thread. This was especially disappointing as he's been an advisor in DSA before and knows how annoying it is when people quit, but particularly how annoying it is when they quit mid task, it would have been far more convenient if he had waited till the boardroom and his quitting could have been announced in place of a firing. It didn't really leave us with much to do as the task and boardroom must go on, however, I do feel it would be incredibly unfair to fire one of you in this situation as it would have not happened had Zak not quit.

Overall, we were disappointed in the effort and dedication that Zak showed in this series, whether it was from a lack of caring or complacency I'm not sure, but I have no doubt in my mind that he would have been fired had he not quit.

I do have one more announcement to make before I conclude the boardroom however...

I have seen some of the posts in the viewers thread and I can assure you this isn't a cop out or because George has told me to do it or whatever, this is because I genuinely think it's the right decision for the good of the game.

I don't see any point in keeping anyone who clearly does not want to be here, especially when it's getting to the point where dedicated candidates who actually want to stay in the game are getting fired over you. I appreciate this may not be in the lines of the general format of the game and nothing like this has ever happened in DSA before, but I think the fact that you've been inactive for the past three tasks makes this the right decision.
