mark has never been popular neither as winston other than positive crowd cheers. Where does this come from other than bots.

jale was before she shot herself in the foot.
Now it is christopher , chris & ashleigh also as a strong army of supporters.
Mark & winston have always been middle of the road. Neither loved or really hated.

Hope he's losing his popularity. The thought of that little crawler winning is just nauseating.

What other appearances? Is he a seasoned face on tv?

Thanks for any info or links.

You might want to turn the volume down and put the cat out first

There is something likeable about him. I'm not trying to increase his popularity, because that seems to be in free fall.

I think he is a decent human being, with a good heart, but he is perhaps ruined by his obsession with being the centre of attention. Whether that be through his fastidious appearance, his loudness, his camp wit, or his luverly accent. Yes he is selfish and vain, and probably a bit of a user, but he still remains to me, a likeable chap.

I still find myself smiling at him when watching BB, so he has touched this well worn old cynics heart. I'm not unaware of his faults, or his tendency to play up to the cameras, but even with that knowledge, he still appeals.

All that said, he has blown it for himself with the Christopher relationship. It has highlighted one of Mark's flaws, his flightiness and his fear of close relationships perhaps? Nevertheless, Christopher doesn't deserve to be treated that way, and Mark has blown it.

As long as Winston doesn't win, I'm happy.

Mark's vanity, camp attention-seeking and playing up to the cameras and in the Diary Room is just basic BB housemate stuff that has been going on since Brian Dowling did it all those years ago so irritating as it often is, it is almost excusable as "par for the course".

However, just recently I think we've seen in Mark some more questionable behaviour - the disingenuous way he threw others (Ashleigh, Chris) under the bus for decisions in which he was fully complicit as part of the PHMA as he rushed to save his arse, the way he can often be quite condescending towards Christopher, the way he was happy to blab all to Helen et al about what he'd heard Matthew & Danielle say about Pav but wouldn't give a straight answer to Pav, thus denying Pav the opportunity to "set the record straight".

Until recently, Mark was a strong contender for a win, or at least a top 2 finish, but I think the last couple of days have shown us how self-serving he is and some people will now see him as less worthy of their vote than he once was.

I liked Mark at the start, don't mind him now but might dislike him tomorrow. Don't like the way he's treated Christopher who in Mark's mind is a poor substitute for his beloved Mathew. I certainly don't think he'll win BB now.
