Don't take it personally. We are all friends here.

Yeah, that's right. That was one of the words I used.

So what part of a paragraph do you want to structure to put it into?

Cheers Teddybleads

What a shame that the thread has gone kinda haywire

Helen's opinion of herself is completely at odds with reality. Completely in denial.

I think this task might be a wake up call for her.

Hopefully.

Despite that, I still think she's far more interesting as a housemate as many of them this whole series.

I won't deny she's interesting to watch. I wouldn't want her as a neighbour though.

I also think that her presence has dampened the other characters in the house so we may have lost some value from the others due to her overbearing nature.

And I thought OP was being sarcastic. Strange thread, for sure.

I think there is merit in that but to some extent, is it not a lack in the other housemates that they have not been able to make a significant challenge to her authority?

I wonder if Helen is not the unquestionable authority but just the ministry of propaganda for the true power housemate.

Yes of course all the HMs must stand or fall on their own merits but if you think back to the start Helen was out of control and BB 'managed' the problem by issuing a few toothless warnings. Helen was there to stay and the rest were dispensable. It therefore left no ground for the HMs to stand up to her so they bent to accommodate Helen's personality.

Who do you think is the real PHM? It seems pretty clear to me only BB has any power and certainly no desire to play by the rules, even its own.

Gosh, lots of questions. I'd like to see an alternate reality where Helen didn't have immunity. The gloves were off from the get go. Would she have been able to moderate her behaviour? I couldn't say. I think not.

I think she is cock-a-hoop on Ash and I think he is not only aware but exploiting it. He doesn't have to fight any of his battles. Helen is legion for his cause.

I think in your alternate reality Helen would have gone on week 3. Who knows what shape the house would be in at this point and whether other now evicted HMs would have blossomed without her presence and won over the public.

I completely agree with your assessment of Ash and Helen's dynamic

BIB...a lightbulb moment went off in my head in tonight's episode where I could see Helen in that sunbed scene and both Ash and Winston being really sexist and demeaning towards her telling her to get her tits out....and her smiling and 'trying' to laugh it off.

It was totally off.

I think Helen is being taken the piss out of by these two. There's just something not right about it at all.

I hope I'm wrong of course.

But this is what I mean about the whole Helen thing being interesting to me.

Of course I respect others that would prefer her gone. But somehow, BB decided she was going to be the centre and catalyst of this BB. So any anger towards Helen, should be directed towards BB.

I thought it was Pauline who chose to give her immunity. Are you saaying she was instructed to do so by BB?

Yes, I think the whole show has been fixed from start to end. Just call me a conspiracy theorist.

In fact, why isn't there an Appreciation thread for it?

No they didn't, I'm pretty sure that the word tramp didn't appear on the video, it ended after the effing word.

Wow....thanks Sasperella for that.

How much it would impact on Helen is still a case of how bad she would feel either way.

But it showed that they [BB] would be prepared to have the power over her or any other hm by saying statements as though they are true, when they weren't.

It was a small point in my first post that I found ironic and with a bit of humour that Helen has some honour in what nasty stuff she'd say about her fellow hms to their face.

I'm finding myself agreeing with her by the minute.

Perhaps because nobody shares your view that there has been a conspiracy.

Quite. The OP would be advised to watch the programme again when it appears on Ch 5 on demand. Then come back on here and admit to being mistaken.

OMG....now I am beginning to think strange things are going on when you have to repeat repeat repeat.

Alice in Wonderland has nothing on this thread, let me tell you.

OR more to the point the one that claims she tells it to peoples faces knew she had been caught out bitching about her "friends"

It's getting a bit boring about this telling it to people's faces malarkey.

Helen didn't ever say that in the house, did she?

No it was Danielle and Ashleigh who did.

Check back.

This is what's so funny about Helen and her saying it to people's faces. Some people are really turning her into a martyr of sorts.

OP fair enough if you wen't t make a cuppa or something when the clips were shown. But they played them straight away you either watched the show or you didn't i'd say. And she did use the word tramp , i watch BB on a recording so i know for sure.
