Out of all the housemates I think Christopher has had to put up with the worst in terms of persistent attacks to his self-esteem, from the way Pauline isolated him and broke his spirit, to Helen's constant digs that she doesn't value him as much as other people, and Mark saying that he wouldn't be close to him if Mathew was still here. And Christopher has just smiled/ laughed much of it off and not really played any sort of victim card or been acknowledged as a victim. But with all the comments about Helen being insecure and she lashing out it seems that the quieter characters get ignored, which really can't help a person's self worth if it's always the loudest people getting all the attention as if to say that their problems are more important than theirs.

I agree.

It must be so difficult to contstantly hear you'll be last on everyones list. To many of the housemates in there, Christopher is last in the pecking order and whats worse is that they have no problem in vocalising that to his face. I think it's really cruel.

However I am convinced he has genuine friends in Ashleigh and Chris who do value him.

Mark, definitely not despite what he projects.

Can't disagree with you there.

That's why he's my winner. I really don't get why he seems to irritate everyone - perhaps he is incredibly irritating in person but - what the hell - I like him.

Totally agree OP.

There seems to be this general view in the house that they can say what they want to him, even if it's hurtful and that's just fine.

I think the problem is he hasn't got any true mates in there as no one seems to jump in and defend him. Even the people who are meant to like him, Chris, Ashleigh and Mark seem to buy into the Christopher is the whipping boy mentality.

It's the sort of mentality I hate so I hope he knocks them all off their perches and runs off with the dosh!

I agree, he may be slightly annoying but he doesn't have a bad bone in his body.

Well, when he wins, Helen and her minions can go suck eggs.

Quite a few of the ex HMs want him to win and I think the newbies like him, but I think all the remaining original HMs would be gobsmacked if Christopher won.

I hope he does.

This is the main reason I want Christopher to win.

Yes. I think him winning is the only one that can really shock the housemate. He's not even on thier radar.

I hope he does, not just to see thier reaction but also for him. I think he deserves to win.

Well said OP. He is most definitely a bit of a diamond (rare) kind of person and the cool gang and their personalities are more akin to a 1 pence penny (a dime a dozen). My fave trait of Christopher's is his child like wonder and how he wears his heart on his sleeve - but also how he is intelligent enough to gather measure of those that need summing up! It would be a victory if he won sadly I doubt the whole viewing demographic.

I find myself liking Christopher as well. I still prefer Ashleigh, but if she was not to win, Christopher seems like a good sort.

Just wish he would see Mark for who he is - pretentious, obsequious and shallow.

Christopher needs to duck tough as Helen will no doubt be trying to put him in the frame before long.
