Don't know but that's what Jale said on her twitter. It was in reply to someone asking her why she was trying to evict Ashleigh when she didn't call her a slug and a non-woman.

I think Jale just gets Helen .. Jale is a very nice person .. not judgemental in the slightest .. for her to understand what Helen and not slag her off like Toya does .. just shows what a lovely woman Jale is.”

Jale is making harsh judgments regarding both Ashleigh and Chris. She doesn't seem to understand that Ashleigh's actions weren't the cause of her eviction, it was the keep Ashleigh in campaign

I dont think her judgements are harsh at all, she is not calling them names but she does not like them much. She is entitled to have an opinion on people she lived with and as long as she remains fair and does not start calling them names that are horrid then I see no reason to say she is harsh. Matthew and Toya.................now they are harsh.

Jale is being what she is, patronising insincere and nasty.

Harsh is also a word for her behaviour, unfair would be another.

She is entitled to her opinion, and I'm entitled to mine.

She showed herself to be one who is so desperate to be in with what she perceives as the cool gang that she will be quietly complicit in their nastiness.

Shameful behaviour from Jale. And it ought to be indefensible by anyone who isn't equally enamoured of being in a gang that picks on others.

Jale is simply jealous that Ashleigh and Chris have managed not to bow to Helen Steven and ash.

And as a result they will probably come out late on finals night to cheers

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but maybe you could shed a little light on what part of her behaviour you consider harsh.

I think she showed herself to be fair , non judgemental, tolerant and forgiving. She has never been desperate in any sense imo just willing to rub along and have fun in a once in a lifetime experience.

And I totally disagree that she was complicit in any way with a gang, she tried to temper Helen's outbursts on several occasions that we saw and probably many times we did not see.She was the best housemate of this series , the most decent along with Christopher and should still be there.

Its laughable that you think Chris and Ashleigh have somehow not managed to bow to Helen and friends, they have bowed so low they scraped their yellow bellies.

I think Jale as a judge of character can be summed up by the fact that she likes Steven. Enough said.

We are not always defined by who we like, after all Ashleigh loves Toya and Pauline and you dont get much worse than these two, they make Helen look good.

Agree.

And I think importantly, Jale has stated more than once that she recognises the angry shouty person that she used to be in Helen (before she took charge of herself and changed her behaviour.)

Helen's life choices since she was a child have been dominated by impulsive and rash behaviours; choices which landed her homeless as a teenager, a teenage mother by a bloke who (to my memory?) was violent towards her, a prostitute by the age of nineteen, infamous for all the wrong reasons and a public laughing stock as a consequence, and involved in violent spats with people in pubs that landed her with a broken nose. Jale - who claims to have been kicked out of virtually every home she's ever lived in - has empathy for Helen's emotionally unbalanced and destructive nature, and I respect her for that.

I don't like Helen, but I do understand that she's got rage problems and I also understand how someone such as Jale - who's now the other side of the same issues, and who knows what it's like to be in that place - would have compassion for her.

Yeah, the only thing they ever really had in common was the fact that they were the two Pauline disliked the most after she had seen all of their VTs. But that doesn't mean they'd like each other, and I never got any impression that Chris and Jale liked each other much, if at all.

I can believe Chris wasn't much help to her too. Let's be honest, he's been pretty ineffectual for most of this series unless he's in the Diary Room or he's been given a Power Housemate role.

Great post and at last a little objectivity.

True but the fact that she likes Steven and singles out Chris who is by all accounts a much nicer , more balanced person as being annoying just shows her judgement can be really off.

Toya isn't that bad when she calms down IMO. She needs to learn the value of charm. I can't defend liking Pauline lol

Most people in there like Steven though and he does have some good points. Toya is awful, she is a loud mouthed bully and she would not know charm if it smacked her in the face.I think Jale's judgement is fine, not perfect but then no one's is.As for Chris I am afraid I agree with Jale there and I can see nothing at all remotely likeable about him whatsoever, he is my most disliked behind Mark.

Why worry so much about the housemates that have been evicted.? They should be history but BOTS are giving them far too much airtime. Once again it's quality programming by Channel 5.

Chris is lovely. Tbh If I was stuck in a house with Helen and Steven I'd have bitching and moaning sessions too. He's obviously not perfect but who is and he far above the majority of the house IMO. Lol I think the majority of them liking Steven just shows that their judgement is off too. Other people's lack of good judgement doesn't excuse Jale's. Similiarly Steven's good traits don't excuse his staggering list of flaws. Everyone has good points, but everyone is not a entitled, self obsessed sycophant.

You're the only one who's talked about her in the last two hours. If you hadn't replied, the thread would have been halfway down page 2 by now.

I don't trust her judgment skills at all: she likes Steven, bears no animosity against Helen and she dislikes harmless Chris.

She's still calling her names and yet she won't hear a word against her for some weird reason.

I too feel exactly the same way as she does though I would say I like to laugh at Steven rather than like him, I absolutely trust my own judgements as they have never served me wrong in the main.
