If Helen is getting such a favourable edit - why does she have so many detractors?

I expect the production team are rubbing their hands together - they knew she was a hard nosed, volatile character and she has delivered.

Of all the things she has said about people in the house they read out one quote and she cries , BB have so much on her they should play back some clips in full, then there would be no dispute from her or viewers.....

Because people have seen through her nasty bullshit already. Helen says nasty things to people so the production team can't edit that in somehow to make it look worse than it is. If Helen calls someone a fat cow or a tramp that's on her.

Of course they can't edit stuff in But if they were wanting to edit someone favourably they wouldn't show it at all would they?

If that's so why is she intent of messing up other people? She is a truly hideous character.

I guess if they didn't show it at all, then there wouldn't be much of Helen to see?

Then we wouldn't see Helen at all a favourable edit doesn't mean brushing out every nasty thing someone does but merely showing as little as possible or the least damaging stuff( this is only the lady few weeks I'm talking about) For example
•Big Brother could have shown us Helen saying a sarcastic/snidey comment to Ashleigh when she stood up to be revealed as the PHM.
•They could have shown us Helen crying to Steven and accusing Ashleigh of having an earpiece while she was lying about not having said those things about Steven. She even called Ashleigh a tramp.

Yes, I'm pretty sure BB twisted what she said by taking it out of context and thus making it look worse than it actually was.

They made it seem that the 'dirty tramp' comment was aimed directly at Kimberley (and possibly Steven), when IIRC she had been talking about Ash and herself, and why she would never let it go so far between them so as to have sex in the house, ie. because if she was sat at home she would be thinking 'you dirty tramp' (talking about herself).

It was only after saying that she immediately realised its implications with regards to Steven and Kimberley and thus why she then immediately mentioned 'Yes I know they've done it etc.'

However by cutting out what went before, BB made it look as if she was directly referring to Kimberley/Steven with the 'dirty tramp' comment, which she hadn't been doing.

Just more BB manipulation, but because this time it's aimed at Helen a lot of people it seems are all too willing to overlook it. In fact IMO the biggest villains this year have been BB themselves.

She said that if she was watching as a viewer and saw Kimberley and Steven have sex she would think what a dirty tramp. So she's basically calling them that but then says but they are together blah blah. It's not that much out of context but I can see why some people would think it's unfair. The only thing is that Helen should've just said they took it out context and explained what she meant instead of lying and crying about it.

BB removed the context in which it was said by editing out the conversation which had went on before and instead began with the 'dirty tramp' comment. It was only after the 'dirty tramp' comment had been said that Helen mentioned Steven and Kimberley.

However by beginning the edit with the 'dirty tramp' comment, with Helen immediately following it with a comment mentioning Steven and Kimberley (after she realised what she might be implying about them), BB made it look as if she had just directly referred to one of them as a 'dirty tramp'. She hadn't and it was just a very cynical piece of BB manipulation.

I also don't think Helen was lying. Given how BB twisted it out of context, I think she most probably and quite understandably couldn't recall having said it.

I've seen your explanation already there was no need for a repeat. Tomorrow if I find the time I'll look for that particular episode because I'm 90% sure she said "if I was a viewer watching I'd think what a tramp"

Yes, I think she said that comment as well. But I'm 90% sure she wasn't directly talking about Kimberley and Steven when she said it. That's why BB cut out what she said before that.

I think she genuinely thought she didn't say it. People like her always have a lot to say. Surely you wouldn't remember half the things that were said. The fact that she stood by what she said supports that. She must have found it hard to believe that it was worded like that and that she sounded too nasty to say it..

to Ashleigh's coolness when being put on the spot in front of everyone
and Helen calling her a two faced bitch, after they'd watched her clips

Better would have been all the name calling she's done eg irritating wasp, slugsworth, little brat, fat bitch, and the derogatory Jesus stuff aimed at Danielle. Much more vicious and nasty. The quotes they used were tame!

LOL you reckon ? Helen gets the panto villain edit. For a start, the remark about Steven was said because she was saying that he'd been having a bad week, and was a bit paranoid about the public booing him because he thought they were thinking he wasn't a fun person. Someone had said why is Steven behaving like this and she said,that the above was her theory, that Steven was doing it to try to make the public like him again, to show that he WAS a fun person, she wasn't being bitchy just saying why she thought he'd been like he had over the last week. BB just took out the line they did to make it look bad. Unfortunately Helen is not too good at explaining things and sometimes says it in the wrong way. That, and her flat Mancunian accent, make her sound like she's being nasty, when a lot of the time it's not meant in the way it comes out. Same with the effing tramp remark, she didn't actually say that Kim was one, that was taken from the convo she had with Ash about what she usually thought when watching anyone having sex on BB, what an effing tramp, she said she felt bad about saying that as they (Kim and Steven) been at it. Helen's biggest downfall is that she speaks without thinking about it first, and it quite often comes out sounding different to how it's meant to because she's not socially adept.

I would bet Ash remembered her saying some of those things but he was too spineless to tell her that because he knew she would go off on one. I don't believe they would have a relationship outside the house because he is too lazy to cope with her personality in the real world.

We've seen all along with Helen that although she vehemently denies saying nasty things behind peoples back and will always say it in their face, this is not true.
The odd thing is that she truly believes this herself. It's as if she can't hear what's coming out of her own mouth. Even when she is not ranting and raving, 90% of the things she says, even in jest, are nasty and insulting in some shape or form.
Her bittrness and resentment to others and life in general are far reaching and too deep, I believe, for her to acknowledged during this show. I don't think she will be making any significant changes in her attitude to life or verbal affronts in the near future.

That is where she becomes open to criticism. She has been the first to jump on anyone else exposed by BB, refusing to listen to an explanation. I hope this makes her think that everyone can be misunderstood out of context, and stop being so quick to judge others.

I came on to say exactly this, the 'tramp' comment wasn't directed at Kim, Helen had started out saying that whenever she sees people on TV having sex she thinks 'what a tramp' but BB conveniently cut that bit. The whole conversation took place in sympathetic and hushed tones in bed with Ash.
