I'm just looking forward to Ashleigh's facial reactions if / when she finds out about Chris and his little crush.

She looked like someone had just done a wet-fart in her face when Danielle told her that Pav fancied her ... how very dare he!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTuX...pyJIloNrw#t=99

I don't understand these types of reactions .. surely it's a compliment to be fancied?

But generally, a 33 year old career man is going to have nothing intellectually or emotionally in common with a teenager and there's only so many other conclusions one can make about his motives.”

Im guessing 'where you come from' isn't an enclosed space where you're forced to be around just 8 people who you find it difficult to get along with and have nothing in common with. And I'm wildly speculating here that where you come from also has various forms of entertainment or stimulation available, like a book, a walk, a phone call with a loved one.

So I'm thinking that if you WERE in the BB environment, you might gravitate to any adult who you had even a remote connection with. Even if that adult happened to be younger than you and another gender and someone who you find aesthetically pleasing. You might just feel grateful that after weeks of being on the margins, you'd found a proper friend, unorthodox as it may seem.

And you need to REALLY stop posting about FM when they are posting about HM.

Plenty on here admire her certainly.

Plus she is a very pretty girl and he is a 33 year old man. Its hardly surprising if he admires her. But to extend that to him having inappropriate designs on her seems to be flogging an imaginary agenda.”

I would have to agree with both of you, couldn't have put it better than you

As to whoever it was who described Chris' imagined home I always thought he seemed rather an youthful and optimistic person (beyond the being in the BB house with a bunch of idiots scenario), I imagine having his artistic side curtailed (I think his brawls are amazing and his humour - watch his YouTube channel - shines through) whilst in there must be frustrating. Seeing the couple of friends who have represented him on BOTS, he sounds a rather youthful and fun kind of guy surrounded by rather youthful fun kind of guys He comes over as somebody who prefers to see the humour in life, although that is probably a lot harder on a day-to-day basis in the BB house, but who also likes to think deeply and observe a lot.

I seriously doubt we've seen the best of Chris within those studio walls. However, with regard to him being an old man at 33, I don't get that impression at all. I've always said 33 was when I finally knew who I was, what I wanted from life and had a fair idea of myself as a person. I think Chris knows who he is more than anybody else in that house - but is also learning more about himself than most.

Huh? I'm guessing your attention span is restricted one sentence because, "Now, this isn't commentary on Chris and Ashleigh because they've clawed onto each in a highly stressful, isolated situation." was a statement exempting Chris and Ashleigh from what I reiterated was a generalization on the grounds of being trapped inside the BB house. Just what you said only stated more succinctly... Though, the succinctness of my reply clearly did not aid in this case.

BIB. I hope the age you supplied isn't truly indicative of any "friendships" you have because indeed that is very abnormal and concerning.

My reading too Muggins. What some posters seem to see as bitching and superiority I see as the ability of a sane individual to see the ludicrousness of BB situations. I know how he feels sometimes - I post on here!

I completely got what he meant when he said he had never before seen so many people trying to enjoy themselves with such commitment. It reminded me immediately of how people are on New Years Eve. It's the biggest night of the year so we must enjoy our selves more than any other night. " Are we having enough fun yet?"

Ha ha, today is 'Winston day'. He has been chosen as the lucky recipient of my special brand of internet admonishment. To 'honour' him I will occasionally be posting in the style of an Essex (or Kent) #LAD.

Winston supporters be afraid, be very afraid. I'm coming for you... all guns blazing, gloves off style. I don't hate the guy but I'm on a hunt.

(ps shhh, don't give my little game away now Scarlet, I was going to have some fun with this! )

Ha, thanks Cat!

As always it's never really massively serious from me (even when people read a serious sounding post), but they don't need to know that, right.

God, this place is like a playground.

No it isn't; not in grown-up circles where people of shared interests form friendships based on myriad factors. Maybe you should widen your horizons a bit.........

My attention span is fine. So fine in fact that I read your other post where you described Chris as "an old 33" and Ashleigh as not an especially mature 18.

Maybe I've been on these boards too long and I've grown cynical, but sometimes people post caveats and still go on to insinuate something negative, so the damage gets done. If I misinterpreted your general thrust and in fact you do think Chris and Ashleigh's friendship is harmless and understandable in context, then I apologise. Genuinely.

It's because, weeks ago, certain other HMs were described in similar terms because of how they were with Helen; so describing Chris in a similar way has the subtext of accusing some forum members of double standards and hypocrisy.
