Maybe I've been on these boards too long and I've grown cynical, but sometimes people post caveats and still go on to insinuate something negative, so the damage gets done. If I misinterpreted your general thrust and in fact you do think Chris and Ashleigh's friendship is harmless and understandable in context, then I apologise. Genuinely.”
Then, you should have quoted that post

I was merely commenting on Chris and Ashleigh's individual maturity evaluation as per the poster I quoted, independent of their relationship inside the house. Although there was an implication made that they would be worlds apart
outside the house which I completely stand by.
I do think their friendship is harmless and entirely organic given the circumstances. However, I agree that Chris has a crush given away by his effusive gushing about Ashleigh at times. Often I find Chris very even-keeled and lacking expressiveness, but he is ostensibly more animated when interacting with her. Btw, that's another reason I perceive Chris as an old 33. There is a vibrancy and uninhibitedness that I understand to be in keeping with a "youthful spirit". Chris strikes me as rather serious and even bleak. He's sarcastic which I enjoy but it's widely recognized as an acerbic,
cynical approach of discourse. My 24 year old eyes just view him as a bit of a stuffy, uppity crank that is exasperated by the reckless, obscene behavior of the "kids" as per the criticisms he very liberally litters about.
