I assume that by "militant feminist" you mean any female who has the nerve to complain when a man says something tw*tty .

I do hate ad hominems

The double standards on here is embarrassing to see. Slut shaming is roundly clapped and endorsed yet the female Bianca get's a pass.

You people lack consistency. ”

If you look back at my posts, I actually said regarding the Bianca comment, "woah, that's a little too much", but I didn't go off calling Bianca a "slag" which I noticed a lot of forum members did. I personally am not a judgmental person, and despite my dislike of Helen for example, I have never brought her previous work as an insult to knock her down like some do. I have never even thought, "Helen is such a prostitute", I basically just call her an absolute cretin.

I am male, but I am fair on both genders, I live in quite a heavily female orientated house and I would say 80% of my entire family is female. I'm not those who would just defend a man's phrases against a woman, and not defending a phrase which is the other way round.

Both genders should be equal. I know a female friend of mine who defends everything a female does but thinks general males are "bad". It's like Loose Women, if it was males presenting the show fawning over female guests, they would be called sexist, chauvinistic and creepy. Not so much the case in reality.

Just wanted to say that.

I lose a little respect for any slutbuckets, I mean people, who actually condone or holds Winston up as any kind of decent human being (and aren't doing it for a joke). The guy's pretty much just a sleazy thick scumbag.

The tits out are for the #LADZ though obvs, so it's all ok yeah?”

It was a joke amongst friends, Winston is harmless. It's not like he said it randomly to her in the middle of the day, they were all half naked getting tanned! You lose respect for someone who holds Winston as any kind of decent human being? Sorry but what exactly has he done to merit such a strong statement?

It's interesting to see the excuses being made for the guy, and not just by the teen ladz types on here either. I don't expect anything different from the #ladz. 'Tee hee- he said 'tits', lolz type thing'.

As for the women who support him however, I can only look at them and feel a mixture of sympathy, amusement and embarrassment.
I do hope none of them ever complain about any stuff like this being said to ANY woman or have any issue with being treated like a slutbucket on demand by me or any other man that wants them to spread their legs.

I usually hate the way women are often objectified but I found this funny because like you say, it was said in a jokey way to a friend. If it had been said to a complete stranger then I would have said it was out of order and inappropriate but in this instance it was said to someone close to him and that in itself was what made it funny. I didn't think much of Winston at the start of bb but he is growing on me by the day. I find him pretty harmless- what you see is what you get usually and occasionally he surprises me with his common sense and idea of right and wrong.

Haha, it was just a light hearted comment and she didn't seem phased by it. People need to relax! If he was saying that to a woman/girl in the house who he hadn't been friends with or have a banter-filled relationship with, then it would be awkward and unsettling. Since it was his arguably closest girl friend I didn't thin anything of it.

Oh for goodness sake it was a joke between friends that share similar humour. Cant believe people are getting in a huff about it.

Perhaps we need to get the #LADZ to ask to get your sister's/ mums/ great aunt's tits out, (tell them we asked nicely) then come chat to me again.

As I said, you don't know them. It's completely different. I have heard a friend of my sisters say that to my sister and she laughed, but if a stranger shouted it to her on a drunken night across the street, I would be furious.

Edit- Cheeky bit of editing on your part changing it from "I" to "general males". Nice.

I know

Can't believe the poster who just said to me, "how would you like it if I asked your Mum or sister to get them out",wtf. People are so over the top. They should probably be outside petitioning on "Male Hate" campaigns rather than spending time on this forum.

Feminists have to be permanently offended, it's their hobby. Their aim in life is to whine and cry about every silly little thing to create their victim status, you've just got to try and tune them out like a crying baby on a plane

You make the mistake of thinking Winston only says it to people he's mates with. This isn't true. He's said it before to Kim, he's been coming out with sexist thick stuff to ANY woman right fromt eh start. Do you like fingerblasting? Have you had a tit wank. The guy is like an almost 30 year old teen boy. It's the actions of a 13 year old who has never seen a woman naked,

Any boy/man above the age of 15 therefore should look upon blokes like this and laugh at them derisively. Saying 'get yer tits out' does not make Winston a ladies man, or cool, or funny, it makes him cringey embarrassment.

You endorsing or excusing him is you basically saying you are cool with any bloke, be it me, Winston or some random turd walking down the street to go up to your sister and harass her, ask her to get her tits out and spread her legs. You have zero right to be annoyed or angry, as you endorse this behaviour.

If you (understandably) would be furious with some random doing this to your sister then I fail to see how you can excuse the likes of Winston or laugh it off in a 'but he's just being one of the #LADZ' type way.

It's not trivial stuff to many. I'm sure using the 'N' word seems trivial to some, but that doesn't make it right.

Calling something culturally conditioned parroting doesn't make it right or trivial.

The world would still keep turning if we had a world war that killed every inhabitant...doesn't make it something we want to have happen.

Oh my god, the amount of drama queens in this thread. It was obviously a joke and it's a very well known chant... and it's Helen - so who cares? It's not like she'd have been offended by that.

No, DS members have to be routinely offended-a promise you lot never fail to deliver on.

I see the mods appear to have been deleting posts on here again, well, just for the record-you can be a man and still a be a bit too feminist in your thinking. Don't become too brainwashed.

*Tries to think of a smug comment to end the post with to prove his moral superiorty as a DS forum member, but decides not to on this occasion....*

Ooooh. Prickly! So easily rattled.

And "for the record" I'll decide what my moral compass says, just as you clearly do yours.

Nothing to get one's knickers in a twist about, I'd say. Maybe if Helen was uncomfortable with it.
