Christopher came across really well there.

I do think he's not treated equally in the house. It's not fair.

Get Mark out!

So Christopher has obviously discovered that Helen ordered people not to talk to him "because he couldn't handle it". This is the second time they have implied that Christopher was "fragile". I have no idea what their motive is - since knowledge is power maybe they suspect that the less he knows the more they can deplete his chances of staying in the house? - but it seems that strategy has been rumbled. Will Christopher be the one to expose Helen and Steven's narcissism? Hope so.

Did they still sleep in the same bed last night I wonder?

I'm not sure that Christopher come across well there, I mean he's better than mark, but that's hardly a compliment in itself.

Neither seem able to listen and Christopher babbles while mark trots out his well rehearsed lines.

That clips reinforces why the HMs do not like being stuck with Christopher,

Christopher is a journalist, and you don't get to do that by being niave.

The HM's don't like being "stuck", as you put it, with Christopher because he calls them out on their BS, and he likes to resolve things rather than sweep them under the carpet. Moreover Christopher DOES listen, but the others just talk over him and that's why he has to keep pushing to get himself heard.

I love Christopher, and he is quite right Mark hasn't got a clue who he really is.

I agree. They find him difficult to live with because he has a heart and considers others, it makes them uncomfortable.

Exactly. Christopher has manners and he does listen. He is just a lovely guy who they all treat as an irrelevant house pet.
Mark uses Christopher as a go to convenient friend when he is bored or wants praising rather than an equal housemate. Since Christopher has started biting back Mark keeps going on and on about what a good friend Matthew was, always in earshot of Christopher of course.
Mark is now coming across as quite a spiteful selfish little man.

Precisely, he shows them up for what they are.

It's Christopher all the way for me, he'd have to strangle a kitten for me to go off him now.

Helen and Steven on the other hand could discover a cure for cancer and instigate world peace, and they'd still be giant turds, IMHO of course.

About time.

I'm pleased Christopher stuck up for himself. He knows who he is and I'm pleased he didn't break down. I think he handled himself very well.

They do baby him in that house and patronise him.

Mark continues to annoy me.

I hope Christopher finishes above him.

I also love how Christopher is growing in confidence.

I didn't like Skid to start with, people bought his crap. I suppose after all these weeks his true personality will show through.
He doesn't have the aptitude to carry it off, his Ego can't be contained for this long.

It kind of recalls Toya telling Christopher that she and Matthew were putting him up for his own best interests.

Yup and then there was that speil from Toya about Christopher trying to validate himself in the house and that here is not the right place to find yourself.

I think they all view Christopher as a piece of china, that he would crack easily, that he's not cut out for big brother. He shouldn't be here.

Surely thats up to him. I mean he applied for the show, knowing it's history, the potential for arguments.

Shilpa Shetty anyone...?

Christopher is a grown man. Sure he's not as extrovert as the likes of some of them but he's not a child. He defends himself through politness and manors, which I'm sure is totally alien for the likes of Helen but that's his way.

I have to say for all the crap he's hand since the begining, he's handled himself very well.

You can tell Christopher still is fond of Mark and so he is not really going for him in this clip. The only thing I'd say is that when he equates being good at arguing with experience of it, I hope he realises that if you are stuck in toxic situations at work, at home etc then that is very often a necessary evil. I suspect his experience in the house is teaching him that.

What is the problem with Christopher knowing about the advice the ex HM give,it was all positive about him what a good and loyal friend he is.Helen needs to but out and keep her big controlling mouth shut.

That is what baffles me and the only explanation I can come up with is that it gives them a feeling of superiority/power.

I think they would be surprised to figure out that Christopher isn't nearly as "fragile" as they perceive him to be. Just because he doesn't get in your face or shout doesn't mean he's weak. He's handled himself very well in discussion and taking up for himself when he needed to. It bothers me how they treat him in there, when he's probably more mature than half of them combined.

That Mark is just awful. He 's the kind of person who never listens to another and bleats how HE doesn't like them to be treated badly because it upsets HIM. FGS! Christopher was just trying to say that he doesn't need mollycoddling...he's a grown man and can solve issues in his own way. Mark is as bad as Helen. I wish Christopher would give the drawling scouse a wide swerve.

Thank you. I knew someone had said that but couldn't remember the details.

As Christopher rather pointedly said, he's lived on his own for five years now - unlike the vast majority of HMs who still live with their mum and dad and probably can't run a bath!
