It may be coincidence that the only two black housemates were voted out in weeks 2 and 3 and now there's an Asian housemate there's an awful lot of criticism of him. (Though to be fair, the GBP did vote to save him over Bianca.)

I don't dislike Pav

Pav is not disliked outside of the house, as far as I can tell anyway. The only reason he's disliked in the house is because of Danielle and Bianca spreading bitter, slanderous bullshit about him in that stupid task.

Of course people hold prejudices and it is entirely possible that maybe some people do dislike because he's Asian.

We have no way of confirming this and equally no way of denying it.

He seems nice that is all he needs to be this year to be suspect and picked on by the other HMs we have seen it several times now, just being nice being considered as some sort of sneaky way to play the game

Viewers dislike HM because of the way they are presented to us on screen.

I actually don't mind Pav. He hasn't done anything wrong and what annoys me is he's getting accused of doing things and being someone he isn't. I just find him boring. He's a leave or take HM.

Problem for him is that he joined late and once again, like a few people, has been targeted because they feel he is weak, and possibly other reasons.
The hate he receives in the house is totally unjustified and sadly par for the course.

I'm sure there's a degree of that.... come on let's be realistic.

I wouldn't class it as racism, but people are naturally slightly less friendly with people outside their tribe and frame of reference when they first met. This isn't outrageous, just basic human psychology.

No, the reason he is disliked is because he's boring.

This is how I see the race/culture dynamic.

He is not unpopular with the general viewers. However, in respect of the main ( not exclusive) demography of the eviction crowd and voters his traditionally Sikh image creates a disadvantage for him relative to the likes of Winston and Ash.

To recover from that disadvantage, Pav needs time, to show his points of interest etc. unfortunately being a newbie, time is in short supply.

Had the eviction crowds and voters demography been predominantly his own religious group, then he would have had the advantage over the other males. A lot of Sikh girls find his image very attractive.

I think he's a nice guy, and he's not boring at all. He's tried engaging them in games, he's done pranks, he gets involved in tasks and seems generally up for a laugh, but they're either not giving him a chance because of the nasty stuff said about him, or they're simply too tired or over the whole thing, especially with all the crap BB have pulled on them, to be bothered. If he'd have been in from start, he would have been seen totally differently imo.
