Tmobile - got PAC as no decent retention offered
I was on Tmobile SIM only: £10 / 300min / 250mb for last 15 months. I asked for PAC as deal was no longer very competitive. Retension didn't offer anything special really, 1000m/3GB for £15 (I've seen others get that for £10 or less) so have my PAC and wonder:
Is it likely Tmobile will call back in next few days to try retain my custom? I've been happy with the service but could do with more data. I only get decent coverage with EE or Three where I live so it does limit my choices a bit. Might make the move to Three. |

EE are trying to get people to move over from T-Mobile/Orange to EE. So of course they're not going to offer great deals on the legacy network anymore

I just bagged myself a Moto G with 250 Mins, 1gb data, Unlimited Texts for £7.99 a month, Which I think is a tenner off the usual price. EE wouldn't risk losing customers this way. I am sure it has been well established T-Mobile was the value brand and continues to be so. EE 4G continues to be a premium proposition, as far as I know they don't offer massive discounts on their 4G plans. Eventually all of it will be merged under the one brand that much we can agree, but EE isn't going to cut off its nose when it comes to customers on the legacy plans/networks. I am sure I read somewhere it is thought 4GEE customers tend to be more tech savvy compared to those on older price plans, which I assume is why T-Mobile and Orange price plans are still offered at retail. In reponse to the OP you should get a call back, I got one after I served notice on two of my phones with them. Outbound retentions usually have better offers |

I spoke to what I assume was retentions as I got the PAC while on the phone to the person. While I appreciate they'll want to get people onto EE eventually, the EE offerings aren't particularly enticing for those that only need 3G and / or can't get 4G. The lower priced EE sim only offer pathetic data allowances so I'd be mad to go that route.
I've read of various people getting decent retention deals so had hoped for much the same. Oh well looks like I'll probably go to Three. |

i had the same problem last year with Orange didn't want to know so asked for my Pac Code and got it straight away i had been with them 6yrs on Sim-Only deal and they didn't ring me back

When I switched from o2 to 3 I got my PAC as they couldn't match the AYCE data. I heard nothing from them apart from a final bill & confirmation that the account was closed.

I moved to Three and the InTouch app is somewhat getting round the weak signal here. |

I should have said they offered me nothing this time around, sorry. I was on 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data for £.7.50 before that but when the year was up they didn't want to know, they were adamant i was going on an EE 4G tariff.
I wouldnt mind but i was using about 30 minutes, 1000 texts and staying under my data limit so its not like i was battering it. |
