Just watched it again, Ash DID say he'd done plumbing (still think it was a joke!) and when Ashleigh asked Chris if he had done plumbing he said yes, then he was asked 'have you?' and he said 'no!' again jokingly.

no-one questioned it though, wouldn't it have come up in conversation in 7 weeks that Ash was a dab hand with a u-bend?
