When Anne says special she must mean a documentary/get together for the old cast, as Madge is long dead. Unless she returns as a ghost, haha. I bet Harold comes back to the actual show for the 30th though.

Madge had to go into witness protection.
For the 30th anniversary, I would rather Neighbours focus on the existing characters first and foremost as opposed to attempting to lure back characters from the 80s and 90s. The show has a great cast at the moment and has been in its best shape in years, so I really have no interest in seeing past characters for a while at least.

It is a bit confusing..as articles state "Kylie returns to neighbours" but what Anne Charleston says is she is pretty sure they will do a "special". However Kylie saying she is buying overalls on twitter really makes it sound like a guest return to the show itself

Yeah but their son Daniel is in the show and it would be great to see them on screen with him.
Also Madison could arrive with them and then stay in Ramsay Street.

If I were Kylie Minogue I would return. Neighbours started her career off, and if it wasn't for that then I don't think she'd be as big as she is today. Ruling out a return is slightly big headed of her. Whats wrong with returning for an episode to celebrate the 30th? She won't get typecast in the role if thats what she's worried about. I just don't she the problem in her returning, I find it really hard to believe she wouldn't visit her son also.
