Who in the world believes schadenfreude is a verb? No person has ever used the construction 'to schadenfreude'. And as for it being an adverb, words fail me.
Its a noun, like pride, happiness, sadness etc.
My main question about Big Brother though is when are they going to torture Winston with rats?”
Damn since my first language is german and that is the equivalent to what I was taught I will try remember that that was wrong it's a noun, damn my incorrect german schooling. I was taught it was and adverb, but then again what do I know . it does depend n the use of the word in an actual sentence, which english people like to just use the word it does not exist on it's own just because it's not an English word so the actual meaning would be dependent on the actual usage thereof, in this case it should be used as I said the word itself dies not exist in isolation. it's like a german person just saying sadness with no actual point.
