I've never thought that the majority of the forum was female but would be interested to know.

There isn't one single thread on this forum that's important....

The reason why I put this poll up is because there's about 6,498,512 threads about "Why do people like Ashleigh?" And the answers are all the same. "She's clever, funny and intelligent". Personally (and this is just MY opinion), I've never seen any evidence of any of those things. Nothing she has done has made me think "wow, that's clever". I'm not saying she's thick or stupid, she's far from it. I just don't think she's particularly any more clever than quite a few people in there.

As far as her being "funny", she's never said anything that's made me crack even the slightest smile.

So the only thing I can possibly see as a reason why people would like her is that she's (supposedly) good looking, so maybe a large portion of the male viewership like her because of it.

It's switching between neck and neck and then a female majority, so that's obviously not the reason. I've tried so hard to like her, I honestly have. I've just never seen one thing thing even remotely likeable or entertaining about her.

I think her female fans don't like Helen, thats why they like her & her male fans like her because they fancy her.

Thats nothing i didn't know already to be fair, but as were having this discussion I thought id give my opinion. I wonder how her fan base will fair when she becomes firmly cemented in the cool kids gang - which she loves by the way... She has always liked them, but felt rejected by them in the beginning hence her anger & bitterness toward them.

Sorry, that's a far too simplistic and crude way of looking at things.

You can't like everyone----you just don't like her. Just like I don't like Helen and Winston---I just don't like them. Simple

Yeah but.....I don't like Helen. Not at all. But I can genuinely see why some people might like her. I don't like Zoe, but I can see why some people might like her. I don't like Ash, but I can see why some people like him. But Ashleigh.....no idea.

Change the record. The same boring generalisations for all.

I fancy Helen and Kim too (Helen the most on first view) but i don't particularly like them.

Also cool kids gang. Ashleigh needs to let Helen out her back pocket first. Thats where she put her a few weeks ago when they 'kissed and made up'

I think Ashleigh's fan base will be just fine with whatever she decides to do because her fan base knows she has at least half a brain and she has proven to her fan base she can think for herself. The "cool kids" need her a lot more than she needs the "cool kids." Helen and Ash are already sucking up to her. They're not so dumb.

Amen to that, I've been asking why people like her & the general consensus is that she's pretty & funny?

One minute she's threatening to go through Helen "like a ton of bricks", the next she's over gossiping with her and doing her hair? Then she's hatching an evil plan against Ash & a few days later shes in tears wanting him to stay? I find her persona both unsavoury and bizarre in equal measure.

I still haven't figured out who or what Ashleigh is & I'm none the wiser for reading the replies when I've asked. Those have mostly consisted of one sentence answers with a couple of adjectives thrown in.

Just one of life's mysteries, I guess.
