Sony screen burn on KDL37P3020 ?

HELP my sony KDL37P3020 is sometimes suffers from some sort of screen burn for example if theres a scoreboard showing and you change channel you can still see the outline of the scoreboard in the background for a bit please can anyone help me thanks.

It will be image retention not screen burn.

Screen burn is permanent and is normally associated with CRT and plasma - image retention is temporary.

LCD can show signs of image retention if left on static images for long periods.

Just place the TV on a channel with good movement and it will correct itself.

The LCD screen is faulty, you don't get screen burn (or 'retention') on an LCD - there's a fault on the LCD panel that's preventing it erasing correctly.

Generally once they have failed in that fashion they tend to get gradually worse - if you press 'menu', then press it again (to cancel it) that usually shows it up well.
