I think this show is more important to BB producers than the main show because this is where housemate’s reputations and popularity will be decided by BB producers and panellists.
The whole BBOTS show is geared to ‘persuading ’ viewers to 'get to like' and vote for the person BB has chosen to win and to vote out people BB don't want in the house anymore.
The ‘real’ popularity of housemates is shown in bookmakers markets where BB has no control over who the viewers are backing to win. Chris was the favourite with bookmakers for a very long time yet on BBOTS they didn’t have a good word to say about him. I have also noticed the same pattern with other hm’s at various times. The pattern is always the same…when they were talked about on BBOTS they only received very negative comments yet when you looked at the bookmakers odds they were first or second in the betting. (We also witnessed this with Jim Davidson in CBB in January however, in the end the public won their battle and BB ‘had’ to make Jim their winner) .
personally I don’t think it matters how people cast their vote or, how many people vote for their favourite or how many people use the ‘App’ ……it makes no difference….the winner of Big Brother will be chosen by BB producers and this year it looks like its Winston. So, would BB have to play fair and let the public decide if we didn't have BBOTS?
