I cant access my email on my Apple Mac. Do the homechoice settings not work on the Mac's Mail?

It should do, it's just standard POP3/SMTP settings.

It does work - I've got it setup here.

What problem are you getting - can you test it on any other system?

I went into Mail Preferences, and put in all the pop/smtp settings. But every time I go to access it, is says my password is not recognised with my pop settings.

I'm probably doing something very basic, very wrong

Use a hotmail account - send yourself a message then try.

If I remember correctly it doesn't create the mailbox until there's a message in there - so the username and password aren't recognised until you receive some mail.

Yes, that's the same problem I had. You have to send yourself an email to activate the account.

Yes, that caught me out initially too (I couldn't even get in through the HC webmail interface).

You just need to send yourself an email to create the mailbox, then everything should be OK.

This wouldn't be a problem if HC sent a 'welcome' message to each new mailbox like other ISPs. I suggested this at the time but the idea seems to have been ignored....
