An old tuck shop favourite - can anyone help?
I used to get this little bar from my school tuck shop in about 1990. It was flat and rectangular about 1cm thick covered in a layer of chocolate with desiccated coconut and inside it was a hardish white sugary substance.
Obviously terrible for teeth and waistline but it was delicious. Have no idea of the name but I would love to know if anyone else can remember this little bar of heaven and if it's still available. |

Sounds like a macaroon bar more readily available in Scotland but you should be able to pick some up n supermarkets etc. Lees is probably the easiest to find although home made is always best.

Yes that's it - Macaroons!
Thank you! Gonna order me some Macaroons. Can't wait to try them again. Probably been about 23 years since I last had one. |
