Im confused by Ash's conversation with Zoe he started off saying him and Helen were just friends ... then when Zoe says she deserves a man to say your the one .. he said thats me just not im here .. he doesnt give much away .. does he like Helen and just doesnt wanna admit it or is she just a close friend ???

He's not interested in Helen romantically but doesn't want to outright admit it in case it makes him look bad, imo.

I think what Ash was quite reasonably trying to say was that they weren't going to become a couple inside the BB house and that if anything happened between them it would be a result of what happens outside.

Very sensible.

I agree, I also think Ash has a soft spot for Ashleigh.

Somewhat yes, like I have said in other threads,

It's that dance when you meet a person you instantly connect with as a friend, having a spark of sexual attraction as well, so the dance of should we shouldn't we begins, Ash has the not on camera aspect due to upbringing I expect and Helen although has a pretty public sex life actually values privacy so won't be too Kimberlyesq in the house.

Ash said she was his type of girl, she just wasn't interested in the slightest. Ash then became friends with Helen and so the dance began.

Ash & Winston were discussing all the personal appearances they'll be making when the show ends.

There is no way either want to be coupled up when they get out.

I thought Ash stopped persuing Helen (in any sort of romantic way) weeks ago when she told him some of her past. The forum was full of Ash dumps Helen threads & they started saying the ole "we are just friends" line after that.
I think she likes him though & he is gagging for it, so the kiss was probably very unwise, I don`t see them getting together outside the house. Especially when he sees the full story, despite her making him promise not to Google her lol

I think that he's hedging his bets.

Ash likes her that way, but two things are putting him off, well maybe three.

He really isn't sure about her past. Not that it bothers him, more about how it will affect his friends and family.

He knows the publics reaction to Steverly was overwhelmingly negative so playing down any romance. Remember they all love Steven and think he's great, they don't see the creepy, controlling manchild that we did, so Ash probably thinks that it's the sex that got him evicted.

He may fancy Helen but not want a relationship.

Yes agree. But I think it's more than just the dance at the beginning of a relationship - it's the fact that Ash knows they're 1) on telly and 2) they're currently in an artificial environment where emotions are charged and you can't really tell if you'll feel the same about people outside the house as you do inside.

Yes, he was actually quite lively looking at her in that pink dress. She looked stunning and he appreciated it.

Yes but it hasn't escalated quickly and you would have to have some deep psychological issues to keep a mask up this long.

I got the impression they both wanted to be friends ... but just enjoyed a cuddle at night ..

But its the comment -

Zoe - ' she needs a man to be like your unbelievably, this is it, your the one'

Ash - ' That is me '

Why did he say - that is me, if he just wants to be friends... surely if he just wants a friendship his reply would of been yea i no she does and thats not me ??

I think he meant "im that guy", as in its something he would do with any woman hes attracted to OTOW.

Helen... You'd without any doubt, google her before you got involved... Tho her admission to him she is basically a prostitute must give him serious reservations anyway.

IMHO what Ash would really like is a 'friends with benefits' deal with Helen outside the house - and nothing more than that.

How many times does he need too say they are only mates.
Sure he'll lay one on her if she's up for it but only after they are out due to the reaction Steven had.

The way I understand it is that he is sticking to the line 'we're just friends' in the house to avoid either of them making pronouncements or commitments that they might regret outside the house. He doesn't want the rest of the house treating them like a couple. He doesn't want him and Helen to become the new Steverly. I think he thinks that Helen and him could be a couple but he'll wait until they're both out of the house to put it to the test rather than becoming a couple inside the house.

Genuine and respectful, I think he cares a lot about his mum and the comment of not having Helen round for tea may have made him think, but he is growing closer and doesn't want to spoil it, they will probably end up on a night out and do some chandelier swinging and the will be the choke point the morning after, it will be either O shite or goooooood morning....
